I know plenty of atheists that fit that description perfectly and we are quite good friends. None of them have been able to answer this though. How can you determine what kind and considerate without an objective defined code of ethics or morality?

@MattJohnson-jj8fd that would be a biblical rule of love your neighbor as yourself, what Christ calls the second greatest commandment. The first is love God above all else. The reason that is important is because if you only had the love your neighbor as yourself part then where is your accountability. Also, each person left to their own desires have different wants so each person could follow that rule but it would not be good for the person the are treating the way they would want to be treated since that person does not want to be treated that way. However that is a great start.

I don't believe faith should be blind I believe there is evidence and it should be followed.

You are dishonest to yourself (and others) because you care about what you want to be true, and not about what is true. Do you understand this?

@marcelkuizenga Lets start with the belief topic before we go into my intelligence and start with assuming my intelligence is as low as believe it is. So please break down the answers to what i am asking in a very clear and precise way since remember we are assuming I am of low intelligence. What do you believe is the first question. Secondly, what is the evidence or basis that you use to determine what I believe is not true and likewise what makes you sure what you believe is the truth?

My potential believes have nothing to do with your truth-claim. 2. Your christian (bibical) god can't be true, because a god can't be righteous and mercyful at the same time. That's how I know your believes are not true. And nothing makes me think my potential believes are true. Because I do understand that believing something isn't a pathway to truth, and you clearly don't. Now, act like a grown up and demonstrate your god is real. Or accept that you are just another human who happens to like the concept of a god very much. So much, that you sacrificed your rationality and morality for your fantasy. Show your god!

This means believing is only the start. the next step is to accept Christ. So, if you really believe in Satan, then you have to believe in God, which means you are halfway there. You do realize that you are speaking about humans in this comment right? God did not do that and his word teaches against that behavior. Humans mess up. The prisons are full of them and most were not priests. I am willing to bet less than 1% of the prison population were priests first. I do apologize for any Christians or claimers of the Christian faith that have tainted your view of God. I am here to discuss anything with that you would like. I just ask that you try your best not to base your opinion of God on the mistakes and crimes of humans.

I believe you have missed the point, I was making. Christianity is the belief in Christ being who he says he is and accepting his forgiveness for our short comings, then choosing to follow him. It is God coming to us. Religion is us going to God and we simply are not good enough for that. There is a lot of evidence that point to the truth of Christianity and I would be happy to share it with you if you would like. In the mean time I will pray for you and I apologize on behalf of any Christians that may have given you a bad taste of the lord.

There are a lot of societies including the US now days where the majority of people are atheist but the governing body is not setup on an atheistic base. Which that is the context of what I am talking about.

So stalinism is an atheistic world view. Judaism is a theistic world view. Japan while it may not be religious so to speak the values are founded in Buddhism primarily and the Czech Republic also while they may not be a religious people their governing body was setup with a catholic Christian world view. This video is not talking about individuals it is talking about a base for governance.

Why do people have to believe in imaginary beings to have morals? Is it moral for priests to molest kids or is jihad or the crusades or trans hate? I could go on but I'm sure you get my point. I believe Atheists are free thinkers despite all of the influence of others from birth.

@@averagemanofhighvalue Communism, and its derivatives like Stalinism and Maoism are one branch of naturalistic and atheistic world views. Secular humanism is another completely different branch. Buddhism can be a third. Many Buddhists are not theists so many consider Buddhism an atheistic religion like Jainism. Just like Judaism, and its derivatives Christianity and Islam are one branch of theistic world views, and Hinduism is another completely different branch. Since all world views are successors or replacements of some other world view, I would be very careful about where I draw the line. Stalinism is not only rooted in Communism, it's also rooted in Orthodox Christianity. The Czech republic was Stalinistic for many decades, and they have now been building an atheistic society for a couple of decades to replace the Stalinistic society everyone knew. Scandinavia seems to have become less and less based on Christianity for the last 100 years or so. They only seem to care about by a handful of Judeo-christian values and disregard most completely.

One that proves there is a god......beyond reasonable doubt. Most atheists, are intelligent people.
