Hi Clive, Love the idea of your system, struggling with the nerve to dive in on my small acreage of heavy soil. What seed/mix rates are you using for your cover crops? Son came on one of your tours when he was at Harper and I think said you were mixing you own cover crops mainly from home produced crops at the time working on the theory that any growth is better than no growth, is this still the case or do you buy in specific mixes?

Even though that was last year I shows what can be achieved with zerotill and cover crops. I would love to know a bit more about it. Was that, Planted with the 12.25 Avatar? What was the cover crop mix or was it in to stubble? Looking to transition from mintill and rotation plough system 1-5, to regenative agriculture zerotill. Been doing a lot of research over the pound and it sounds like the direction to go. I heard the other day a 7000 acre farm has made a big success of it of the last 7-10 years and says he soils and eco system are now in balance. He is now at the point where he can grow cereals, and soya with out any input accepted seed, no fungicides, no insectersides, no seed dressing and very little next to zero herbicides.

All new equipment old technology with a bunch of sensors and wires. And John Deere has to have a communist from Europe designing the tractors and combines. Deere lost their identity when they left the 55 60 series look.
