Putting Golf MK7 GTI Calipers on a MK6
Просмотров 3753 месяца назад
I got my calipers from: www.mtecbrakes.com Im not sponsored from them i paid full price, this is just what i bought. I paid for the grooved and holed ones for my car. Front blue calipers from: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145474892050 These are really cheap bearing in mind the pads are worth like half the cost. Do take into account import fees. All other parts were bought through mechanic trade so i dont...
This £30 mod added 15 horsepower

I installed a dump valve not too long ago and it costed under £20, the only benefit was the sound but it meant i lost power as vw normal recirculates boost. This diverter valve is the opposite, it does what is intended not just for noise but it has the side benefit of making good noise. Links to both are below and im not getting paid for any links provided, this is just what i bought personally...

Auto headlight switch install for VW Golf MK6 & MK5
Просмотров 4,8 тыс.Год назад
Auto headlight switch install for golf mk5 or mk6. This is quite an easy and cheap mod and convinience when in use.
Have a look at the Fiat Bravo 1.4 t-jet 150
Those 1.4s are shared with alfa romeo, so the guiletta and mito have the same engine just with different power outputs. I personally think the alfas look better and the reliability should be the same considering alot of the parts are shared including the engine, even the steering wheel and instrument cluster is the exact same.
Look at unusual cars for a 17yo to be driving. It's often less about insurance group and more about statistics of how many people of a young age crash a certain car. Also try things like parking the car away from home or on the street instead of a driveway, it's weird what can bring the cost down. Take time to experiment with options like that. Cars wise, if fast is all you care about and it doesn't need to be new then can look at older cars and fit an apple carplay screen if you want modern comforts. BMW e46 (3 series) are cheap and will outperform a lot on that list. Older Volvo's, Audi A3's, Golf's and Leon's, you could even look at the higher up models like old 5 series, a4,a5,a6, Passat's etc... Avoid the ford's most of their engines are shit, especially the ecoboost engines.
I personally disagree, clearly you did not watch the video lol
Good luck finding a working Audi A1 for £3.5k
Had three Alfa Guieittas in 10 years The only issue was if you went over a bump in the road deep or near a hole it would set off the tyre pressure sensors, but it was a false positive all mine were diesels, as long as serviced etc i had zero issues
Go faster next time maybe i saw something now
What tint level is ur front window?
Very informative video.
Bro is it tsi or tdi and what year is it?
@@The_Smooth_Operator 1.4 tsi 2009
Thanks 👊
I’m looking at getting lights like that Are these easy to install Or require any wiring ? Thanks
Nice job bro! 💯👌🏾
Get rid of that chavvy reg plate, front grills, blacked out badge, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and the outside will look so much cleaner. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hi mate, quick question. Right now I have a mk5 with auto lights from factory, and when I leave them all the way on (switch is all the way to the right), and shut off and leave the car, they shut off after like 20ish seconds. Before I buy this for my friends mk6, I wanted to know if this new switch would have the same behavior. Over where we live we have to keep the lights on when we drive no matter the time, or we get fined, so itd be better if we could just leave it on and not worry about it... :D Cheers!
So you basically made a GTI clone.
@@Mk6GTIMike i mean if a gti had a golf r front bumper, golf mk7 headlights, audi s3 rims and an audi gear knob then sure
Nice man ❤ really helpful video
Does with this new switch the Coming/Leaving home function works?
what did you use to stick the spoiler on
@@6543m scotch mounting tape from b and q
Yoo bro where did you get the audi gear shifter and which model is it specific for as I thought it looked pretty cool and wanted to replicate the look within my own Golf?
@@pxv15xn basically get a used audi 6 speed gearknob on ebay (any new ones are 99% fake and are horrible) mine came with the leather part from the old car just remove that part so you only have the knob. Then on aliexpress buy a mk6 gear knob boot without the shifter. Then clamp the knob onto the leather part and install it like any gearknob
Inside looks chavy af
The whole car does. This is why I never buy a car from Bradford, Birmingham etc etc
Front end looking clean 🔥
how did you stick the spoiler, with tape?
@@6543m at first it was some cheap double sided tape and it was falling off so i think i went b and q and spent abit more on some scotch tape and no issues. I used like 2 rolls of it though.
where’s the intake from?
Only something from ebay or autozone would include in the instructions to put it in a spot where it will be sucking in all of the hot air (unless it was done by him, which i wouldnt doubt condidering that he said this added 15hp). Cold air intakes improve performance because they let the engine suck in cold air, which is more dense than the hot air that the stock intake gets.
why mod a car that sounds like a sewing machine
Im guessing your first and current car sounds way better?
get something nicer and mod it i reckon
@@mortalwombat7461 yh i will do that when my insurance goes down. Not sure why your hating on my first car.

@@RED.Artist_KE i appreciate it, keep an eye over the next few days got a big video coming up.
Add links to all your videos where you got your stuff fork you will get bare views l tell you
Hey bro can you drop the link of your steering wheel GTI and the name of the colour and place you got your car painted
I bought the steering wheel off ebay for £176 and i sold the buttons and paddle shifters that came on it for £120 then i bought a trim peice for the buttons area. You should only pay around £200 if it comes with buttons from ebay. The airbag should fit from your old steering wheel so a new one isnt needed. Are you asking about where i got my rims refurbished or my front bumper sprayed?
@@zomils would been nice if you made a video how how changed your steering wheel
@@briansibanda4969 yh i do wish i recorded videos on those mods, one of my regrets. I do have quite a nice project lined up for in the next two weeks which is not done yet on a mk6 on youtube
From time you saw someone riding a bike on them roads you should have gone elsewhere so dangerous. Don't do that again always test the roads spend time to watch it's daily traffic. I can't believe you was worried about the bird. Tut tut test the roads first brother.
I didnt even drive in the video? What cyclist you talking about?
Have you got an instagram bro?
@@ishaanhussainn its @notzoms
What headlights are those?
I got them from aliexpress, just type up golf mk6 led headlights should come up. Around £300
Very very nice car
that not true LUL
It was slight clickbait but actually driving the car it felt like that

That Audi tho 😍
Its my friends, might do a vid on it soon.

Nicely done. Given me some inspiration. Could you link the front headlights link pls
@@Fareediification i got the black samurai version: a.aliexpress.com/_EuOt2hl
Who fit the front headlights for you?Did you do it yourself or you went to a garage and they put these for you?
@@briansibanda4969 i fitted it myself. Quite easy to fit took around 30-40 mins. I also fitted vlands on my freinds golf mk6 which are cheaper but are kinda bad, they had condensation issues and came with an error code. Mine has no error code or anything.
Broo get some black rims, would do so much. There is also some options for front splitters, skirts and diffusers. would do alott imo, im getting it done for mine. anyways nice build
@@dr3yfusz yh im getting 19 inch rims this month and got something else planned that you will see on my channel eventually
Yoooo
@@Saihan_uk yo bro
sounds good brother, back box deletes often do more than enough to make enough noise, but not to a stupid level where youre way too loud to an embarassing point.
Yh 100%, im probably gonna change the exhaust for the golf r rear bumper and diffuser but i wouldnt want anything too loud otherwise ill need an exhaust valve
@@zomils rate the car man, keep up the good work
love the car man, waiting for the tuning videos of this car
@@umarqureshi1942 thanks bro, got alot planned
Very nice car bro. I'm hoping to get one soon
What engine and how much you gonna spend?
@@zomils currently I'm on 0$ budget because I'm in college, dream car is MK6 GTI, but I probably will never afford such a car so 2.0 diesel or 1.6 diesel because I heard it's reliable
@@-szilxrd8125 ah im guessing you live in america, golf gti mk6s are around £5k in the uk its just insurance being the issue. The diesels are nice but i prefer petrol engines sound and tun-ability.
@@zomils I'm from EU, romania brother. Insurance is not that bad for that car especially if you choose a smaller engine. Only thing holding me back is that money here is impossible to make because salaries are dogshit and people are bad
@@zomils Diesels are very common here because, way more than petrol
Thank you very much !!
