Thankyou for your good helpfull information on the case 1070 transmission installation . Yes those paper gasket do srink in time , we had the same problem on the steiger 325 panther , plantery cover gasket that srunk and then we put the in water for a while . Then bingo it fitted .

I had that Case with the Onan, what a nightmare getting any parts. You're much better off with the 444 and a K series Kohler. Both those Deeres sold cheap! They would have brought double that hete in Michigan. I wish you had shown more of the old farm tractors sell, especially that Farmsll. Cool video, though.

Keep those good old CASE tractors going. We need to take the heads off our 1175 this winter, think we have a bad valve. Thank God we now have a heated shop.

So glad we did nothing but square bales on our farm back in the 1960's. So much waste with those round bales, and that stopping and waiting for each round bale to finish would drive me nuts nope I like square, sorry.

We've been hauling the last 3 days from the fields to the beef barn-234 so far. Had a few snow squalls today here halfway to the North Pole. Just need a few more snow free days. My Dad used to say 1 inch of snow turns your life into hell. He was mostly right. Keep those old Case tractors going!

I watched all of the 1070 transmission rebuild videos, great job getting that project done! I’m going to change my transmission oil and filters and I just wondered what brand of oil you guys run. The forums say use only HyTran but it’s so much more expensive than just about everything else out there, thought I’d consult an expert! Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

If you'll drill that large center hole to the right size for a tap, you can then thread in the all-thread. At that point, the threads will hold the weight, and you just need to tack the end of bottom of it to keep it from spinning. If you keep this to a minimum, it's easy to grind back out should you desire making any changes in the future. It would also ensure that your orientation is perfectly perpendicular, which that one looks lightly catawampus, or that might just be the camera distortion.

4010 seems to be getting along better

I run mostly Deere, and I have a Ford or two, but I recently bought a low-hour 1070 that is equipped with a turbo. I mostly ran it ( with the door and windows open, like everybody else - lol! ) on an IHC disk, and I like it just fine. I may not be quite as refined, but an old Case is strong, and they _will_ do the work. Put a good seat in them and they'll ride about as good as anything else, too. I wouldn't mind checking into a compressor upgrade kit for R-134A. Anyway, I've enjoyed watching the progression of this project, and it looks like it turned out nicely -

The baler runs great we had a neighbor that baled for us when i was young he had a vermeer baler its was worn out but still baled great bales glad to see the 1070 running strong they are great tractors

Good to see it up and going ! I love it when I can get a field baled up and it is still going when I am done. I think with the amount of maintenance you guys have don to your balers you are headed for more trouble free baling!

What held the pto fork shaft in? Welch plugs? My bearing or fork is stuck. Thanks for the video.
