I feel like the social links having the brunt of development is fine for me. Cuz, like, who plays Persona games because they like the gameplay? It's like going to a Steak House for the salad. There's a million other RPGs with more focus on combat with better battle systems than the Persona franchise. Most of us are here for the story, characters and life sim elements. Not liking social links as required reading for character development sounds like a skill issue imo In any case though, I would hope it doesn't get a remake. I feel the game has ages like wine for the most part. I don't personally find it lacking in anything except minor QoL. Plus, Golden basically did the brunt of including additional content in the game. The only versions I can see of this remake is either as a faithful remake with modern graphics and other general things with some changes to the art style. Or a MASSIVE overhaul that effectively changes big chunks of the appeal, art, characters, gameplay and aesthetics to fit more in line with Persona 5. Essentially robbing a lot of the unique conventions the game had to begin with

I jumped from Reload straight into P4G and in some ways it is actually a lot more pleasant to play like the suffle time I enjoy way more but it is missing some of the modern knicks and knacks like the UI for example is way inferior to the modern games. The combat menu is slower and more clunky and what I personally really miss is the colors in the analysis screen as it's way easier read if all the elements are color coded In hindsight I should've gotten it on PC so I could mod out my issues but well I am already 10 hours into my playthrough on Switch.

Is it necessary? No. Would it be amazing and help to bring a lot of new players to the game? Absolutely

No. No we don't know P6 is coming. It is not coming. As for a female protagonist it is just not going to happen. As for birthdays they really aren't a bit thing in Japan. It isn't that they can't be celebrated but they really aren't made out to be a big deal most of the time. I don't think that'll ever change. If I were to think of my own wishes besides it actually existing which it never will. It would be that no random dungeons exist not even a Mementos style one. Either let us go back to old dungeons to grind or make a separate hand crafted dungeon which could progressively unlock further areas as you progress through the game. That would be fucking sick. Besides that I would prefer for there to not be any non rank up social link/confidant hang outs at least until you are already rank 10. Like you can have the "hang outs" where you get actual story scenes and a gift, but none of the bs of showing you hanging out without context and it just ends. At least so long as you are carrying the correct Persona because I do still like that mechanic. Those are my only real big desires I believe. Out of the two the no random dungeon is my bigger ask, but even if neither happen that wouldn't put me off of the game, but yeah. Not that it is ever coming out so it doesn't really matter anyways.

No, not every game needs the best graphics. We need a persona 1 remake first before anything

what persona 6 needs? -good antagonist(s). maruki already made vanilla P5 look like a joke but after Louis in metaphor P6 just can't have another handful of nothing villains. -party second awakenings being part of the main story instead of their social link. removing this made the story structure suffer in P4 and in P5 it got so bad that Haru is best known for lacking screentime. I'm not even gonna talk about kasumi joining for a single dungeon. -split physical into slash/pierce/strike. because physical being a single element while magic has more to play with sucks and because resist physical breaks persona 4/5 in half. -actual difficulty. normal doesn't need to be dark souls but 3 difficulties above normal should be hard. and in 4/5 it just isn't. -no more stupid mascot. Aigis and Sophie were good, no more Teddie or Morgana. and don't make said mascot follow you everywhere. seriously. -a less goofy tone. persona 4 was way lighter than 3 and persona 5 has everyone in halloween outfits half the time. if they don't reel it in what will P6 even look like? -please not another demiurge wannabe at the end, persona has had like 10 of those with the spinoffs. making the final boss actually challenging wouldn't hurt either. -if they aren't going to put any effort into the onsen gag why even have it? I'm not against fanservice but they aren't even trying anymore. -make the devs play a roguelike before making the grind dungeon. these people haven't evolved their procedural generation since like 2005. -maybe add something for maxed out social links? just putting your romance choice beside you around town would be cool. -make the plot less formulaic. persona 5 unironically has the same arc like 3 times.

I would like a story than change tones a lot. A lot of people like the darkness from P3, others like P4 because is more cheerful... I feel P5 it's like a middle point. I'd like it to have it's moments at times. That it knows it could be very comedic or incredibly dark. Kinda like a Yakuza game. There's something that might not please many people but while I'd love both female and male protagonists like P3P but I'd settle with a bi protagonist. I mean, it's not like the game is impossing anything, it's the player's choice who they want to romance anyway. Cameos would be cool. Not just references, actual Cameos or at least battles against a full party not just other protagonists, that would be cool.

Buffs and debuffs stack up to 4 times. Don't be afraid of using physical attack skills, just make sure your healer gets a turn before you get too low on HP. Strength build Demi-fiend is OP, but in the beginning, feel free to learn a few magic skills and maybe keeping one for a long time. Reminder that you are playing SMT, we do not have "heroes" or "villains", you choose who your friends and enemies are. Maybe in this story, you are the villain? Would that be your choice? There is going to be an optional dungeon, it is necessary to do in its entirety if you chase down a specific ending, I recommend visiting it every so often and finding the path to the next section (especially since you need to trigger an event there at some point to progress even if you don't have the necessary items yet to proceed). Even if you don't want the ending that comes with clearing this dungeon, it is still a good idea to visit if you wish to fuse some Fiends since you need Deathstones for that and they can only be found in the dungeon. Sacrifical Fusion is great, it can make passing down specific skills much easier, especially if the two demons don't have a specific skill on them. Mitamas are demons here that you can use for fusion, the trick there is that the fusion result is the same demon you are fusing it with, but may get a stat bonus and you can pass down any skills the Mitama has. I for one made an Ara Mitama once that knew the skill Life Drain, it made it so easy to get it on all of my demons since Life Drain is good here. Just remember to save your optimized Mitamas in the Compendium so you may resummon them as you need.

One thing I want is a character from a previous game appearing. Not just easter eggs on the TV or radio, but something more like Chihiro appearing in P4

First of all, I want the fully voiced social links to be in this game. secondly, I want the Story to be a lot darker, P4 had too much humor at times, and P5 although darker is not in the same level as P3. Thirdly, I want DLC instead of a rerelease, Altus already has tested whether DLC works with 5 Tectica and Episode Aigis, I want that Altus commits to this new strategy. Fourth, I want some of the Spin off systems like the sub Personas from the Q games and 5 Tectica or the shields from P5X or at least something to spice up the gameplay and combat

Ordinarily I'm against remaking games when the original is easily accessible. However, depsite the fact that you can get P3P on steam now, the FeMC route of Portable is in a very unique set of circumstances that actually justifies a remake. P3P was already considered an inferior version of P3 outside of direct party control and the FeMC route. There actually is value in remaking her story in a full 3D engine. And since we live in a universe where P3R was made, despite the fact I think think Persona 3 didn't need a remake, I think it is fair to bring her route to the new engine. That being said, this might be better suited for a mod anyway.

I’m late but P4 is easily the worst modern Persona game. Most of the cast is either annoying or watered down versions of older characters and the main concept the game is based on had already been covered by Innocent Sin.

they're gonna mess up p4 like they did p3, merciless was way too easy i wish my teammates would get tired, reaper from floor 1 so I can't just clear entire block in one night, it really kills the vibe of struggling teens and doesn't make me feel the pressure
