Decommissioned PC - Who knows what it used to do?

Quick video with@Channel84VarietyShow and I - Taking a look at a machine which was found in a cupboard, running for 10 odd years, nobody is entirely sure what the machine's purpose was, but it's now time for this sweet prince to rest.
just upgraded from a 4 Gb to an 8Gb Nvidia Quadro, mainly for cad work, not gaming. Hoping it will improve render times
@@Bluejohn fingers crossed!
It's Amazing - You put me in front of a camera and I miss so many steps! But I kept the fluff ups in! Nobody gets everything right all the time!
As a fellow novice at this might I suggest using some flux to make this much easier. It will also clean the joint making for a better connection. Make sure to tin the tip of your iron as well.
I do have some flux somewhere, thought for such a simple thing the included flux in the solder would have done the trick! It's all a learning experience!
I came looking for advice on how to do this to my M4000, and I found someone even more confused than I. For 38 minutes.
@@bricology haha yeah, yeah, we got there end the end
I do FAH as well. I'm using a Quadro T600 and i5 10400T
It's a good cause! Shame electric costs a fortune at the moment or I'd be having my FAH machine on all the time
Thanks for the sub!
You are most welcome!
Toilet jokes hmmmmm
Hey bro how much *C does your m4000 goes when gaming mine around 90*C
To be honest, I don't really game on it, it is used for folding@home or video encoding for my plex, doesn't do massive sustained workloads. However, at the moment, my room is 31.8oc and the card not doing anything is idling at 44oc
@@TechWithMarc So what is the ideal temperature that graphic need to be while running inside the pc ?
@@MrHunk1989 as always, cooler the better, it's been over a year since I did the maintenance on this card, I've been running folding@home off and on for that period of time. People have reported that the card can get a bit toasty. On initial startup of my machine, room temperature being around 19.5oc, the card is reporting as 33oc. Running furmark 2 at default settings (1080p) it jumps to 75oc within a minute, hitting 80oc around the 3:30 mark. By the time 10 minutes has come around we are at around 81oc. Even at that temperature the card was still averaging 31 FPS. Furmark is an extreme case though as it puts your card on full throttle whilst testing. (I am literally testing it now to give you my numbers) Ideally at idle, you'd probably want it below 40oc, or 30oc but factors such as case airflow and ambient temperature come into play, something we can't always control, but I haven't seen higher than an overall temperature of 81oc on the high side.
Clean setup dude
I accidently missed a clip double up! Can you spot it?
