Interesting video, thank you. I’ve been struggling with balance issues and visual disturbance for the past 2 1/2 years. I rarely leave the house unless it’s for appointments. I was eventually diagnosed with bilateral vestibular loss, PPPD and visual vertigo. I’m worried this is going to be my life.🥹 I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, it not easy to live with.
He’s blaming it all on anxiety, but not addressing it. Not one doc has been able to figure the cause. I e had supposed vm and pppd got 9 yrs and was put on clonazepam after trying 30 meds and VRT 5 times. Now I’m having to come off the benzo and things like anxiety are worse, dizziness worse, fear all the time. Headache are worse either way each decrease. But yet not one of these doctors know a damn thing about any of it. This doc just keep walking around the problem still no answer’s as usual

Very much informative 🎉❤
I am afraid to walk with my walker, afraid of falling, this is when i have to go to the doctor, and this is walking outside. My husband has to take me in a wheelchair when I go to the doctor.

Waw very well simplified thank you
Thanks for the excellent video. I am an audiologist, and I don't have any problem doing headshake or touching patients. However, I also used to be an ICU nurse, so I am sure that plays a big part. I love all this video series. Thanks.

Do you use the i. v. steroids only for 5 days? Dont you get side effects like edema and others quickly by doing so?
Can we use oral steroids to treat vestibular neuritis? If yes, which dosage and for how long?
Hi, how to differentiate between pfv pppd and bppv? What is the treatment of pfv?
Are doctors considering the slow and insidious onset of symptoms related to toxic exposure? This could affect neurotransmitters and the "fear of falling" and rigidity may be legitimate. If physical therapy helps, what if the effect is similar to improvement with exercise in Parkinson's Disease...for that matter, what if the conditions you are seeing are early signs of Parkinson's, which has an autonomic dysfunction component.
The description of "Vestibular illness anxiety" and patients who are "fussy" about their health sounds like a great way to avoid addressing a patient's questions and dismiss their concerns...clever doctor! Your job just got easier! Btw - when I had anxiety, I was given antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds that didn't work well. What DID work was thyroid medication. Some of us see bad doctors which has trained us to be vigilant with out health. This should not be, in turn, deemed a psychiatric issue. I could give more examples of the medical incompetence I've personally experienced but I don't want to be labeled as overly critical...that might involve a whole new psychiatric diagnosis!
What to do please to stop the noise on my left ear please help by giving some information -can’t sleep at night worst with stress thank you guys
You are likely suffering from tinnitus. Have you been diagnosed with a hearing loss? If your tinnitus is occurring as a symptom of hearing loss, consult an audiologist. Tinnitus therapy is a kind of therapy used to manage tinnitus.

My father is a doctor. When I was about 8, I accompanied him to one of the medical conferences to which he was invited, where dr strupp was the guest speaker. I started taking notes lmao 😅. I remember talking to him! He was very sweet and kind (:
Nice
This is brilliantly presented ! Thank you
This is so very interesting and illuminating lecture for general population as well as medical care workers. Thank you !
When you guys gonna find out the vestibular dysfunction treatment which happens due to Streptomycin.gentamycin.etc
You are likely speaking about vestibulotoxicity which is a common cause of bilateral vestibulopathy. First point of treatment is withdrawal from the aminoglycosides you mentioned as the drugs can damage both your vestibular and cochlear sensors. After withdrawal from the ototoxic drugs, consider therapy. Consult professionals.

Dizziness had various phases for my husband for 4-5 years, so I gave him the dizziness vertigo remedy. He started having results after four days, and now right after a week, even though not 100% yet he`s had very long periods of complete alleviation. Ideally, with continuing use, he will be dizzy free before long. If I did not spend all day to research it on Google, I could not find this guidebook. The tip’s name is below. Taylor Suρandaz
I experienced dizziness vertigo and frightened of falling going down even a small slope for a long while. I`ve been using this dizziness vertigo treatment for three days. I got out now down and up steps on a steep side walk, no dizziness, no spinning, did not seem like I was gone to drop. I am very happy with this particular medication. I save your time to do the research on Google. The guidebook’s name is at the bottom. Taylor Suρandaz Thanks
I experienced dizziness vertigo scared of falling going down even a tiny incline for a long while. I have been utilizing this dizziness vertigo treatment for three days. I got out now up and down steps on a sloped side walk, no dizziness, no spinning, did not feel like I was gone to tumble. I`m so happy with this medication. I save your time to do the research on Google. The guidebook’s name is below. Taylor Suρandaz Thanks
Congratulations! Nice presentation
Hi! Please send me more information. Email: sheila@VestibularTrainingServices.com
Vertigo episodes were usual with me. They typically held up for a week. It is very devastating. In March, I experienced a week-long vertigo episode that caused me to utilize the dizziness vertigo solution. Ultimately, I found an item which delivered vertigo away absolutely. I save your time to do the research on Google. The guidebook’s name is under.Taylor Suρandaz Good luck
I get dizzy when I see cars moving , moving objects on the rv or phone what can help me get rid of this it’s been a month almost :(
This is one of the best video I have watched, I wish he was my doctor, six years of suffering and no diagnosis

And what if a person has major side effects with SSRI/SSNRI ? Aren’t there another solutions for PPPD ?
exactly, i cannot tolerate any ssri/ssnri
Microdose. You can start on tiny doses and increase very slowly.
My ENT said my jaw is misaligned and clenching at night is affecting one side more than the other, causing muscular tension and likely resulting in my eustation tube not draining properly. He recommended my dentist make a night guard that corrects this and see if it helps.
Great presentation! Thank you for sharing. Loved the comparison of the gentleman dozing off and startling awake with nystagmus.
Fantastic. The best explanation of these concepts anywhere. I love all of the video examples throughout the presentation. Thank you!
I wish he could just tell me what's wrong with me. Constant vertigo after head trauma and still no answer
No matter how many times I try this video doesnt play? Very frustrating. All other videos play just fine...
Neurocular.com shut down and no longer works as of December 2018, which is completely unfortunate. It was a wonderful website and I hope it returns someday. Dr. Strupp's videos for the exam can still be found on youtube and are very well done.
Please can you inform me dr.Strupp’s video, really interesting
I'd be very cautious about labelling anyone as having 'functional' symptoms. Dr Wade (one of the proponents of this model) told me that people with 'functional' symptoms face the 'certainty of prejudice' in primary care. A neuropsychiatrist I consulted with tried to land-grab MdDS as a 'functional' condition, via me, and I experienced that prejudice first hand. I had to get re-diagnosed before my doctors would believe there was anything physically wrong with me. This neuropsychiatrist also missed a really obvious additional diagnosis of vestibular migraine and - as such - delayed me being able to access treatment and support. People with rare conditions are particularly at risk from the 'functional'/'medically unexplained symptoms' label and it can make their diagnostic odysseys considerably more difficult. This should not also apply to people with migraine, but it does. Meanwhile the lack of empathy and understanding from this doctor for the woman with Meniere's is enough to put me off psychiatrists for life. Again.
did you go on a boat before your got your illness? What kind of treatment are you having?
"Functional disorder" is a lazy diagnosis.
This is beautifully done. Thankyou.
Is there any other drug treatment for PPPD/Chronic Subjective Dizziness besides SSRI’s?
No
Did you try SSRI ?
@@antonmclaughlin9897 do u have or had pppd?
@@lounalou9287 nope you? Do u have pppd?
@@AJ88874 Yes I have PPPD and I am still looking for a medication. I am taking Flunarizine for vestibular migraine and it made me feel a little better but what helps me most is Xanax on a daily basis
