You are doing right. VIRAL is the law in Indonesia. Tell your story to legitimate media like Tempo. Or pay buzzer to so share your though to counter bad issue about you. Good luck.
Sir if you will read me.. give me couple years. I will come and meet you. Hope we will work together
Lesson here kids….dont learn real estate off of RUclips and try to invest in “exotic” locations with corrupt governments. Please for the love of god….save your money and invest it in safe assets.
Courage mon ami
Sorry for your trouble 😂
Funny about life
Sorry ❤
How did u make your money??
Julian... I need 1 hour videos from now on thanks in advance :)
Sad
Oh Julian, watching this in hindsight to what happened afterwards is distressing. I had a real estate business in the Philippines for 7 years and saw every scam imaginable. Bit too late now for you, but for others No.1 develop contacts in the lands department, nothing major, just take them out to some fancy places for dinner. and once you have a relationship "donate" a new iPhone etc. These insiders will know what land is legit, and help you can avoid these local "agents" who are 95% scammers. Also, if youre in a particlular location develop a relationship with the Mayor and Chief of Police, whenever there are elections donate some free signage or printing for them, or cheap phones they can give their underlings. Sorry Bali ended up so badly for you, I really know your pain.
visa on arrival > buys land > try to work > got banned > playing victim & made youtube video for views. lmao
Mentor me bro 🙏
Good luck mate. Hope you get this resolved ASAP. Omri
1. You cannot own land as a foreign passport holder in Indonesia 2. Flexing wealth in Indonesia is a stupid move, the tax people will hunt you
What did you expect when you bought something in corrupt country? and you should post that man’s photo so anyone will know
How’s your eye sight?
ISTG the Indonesian news industry is so fucked up. They don't care whether you're a victim or not: they just want a profit with their trash narration. I know everyone needs money to live but if you got a job in this industry, you'd better be homeless than have a job there. They know our Indonesian people don't have much time to check the truth so if one news says you're trash, to follow the narration, and to make things viral, you'd be labeled as trash in every news. I am so sorry for you, especially for the treatment of the trash news industry in Indonesia, I hope you'll get a good lawyer and I hope you can clear your name and get your property back.
Yeah, I live here in Java and I know how CORRUPT is the government tho.
Intinya orang ini ditipu oleh orang Indonesia. Shame on you, Indonesians!
You on sick run don’t let the channel die Upload more
The things always said of these nice smiling population all around....most have more deep meaning with benefit intentions. These spesis are typical wishing to win all for themself due to low esteem & low SMD. Mostly talked sweetly through their tongue & they're good at it.... Every little opportunities never be let go to passby😂 Proud with so little substances to pride off some times are unimaginable of them😂...just typical annoying !
when he said you know this more then i do is like him saying she be for the streets AJAJAJ
Bro you cant even ski :D :D :D
Bro u got scam contact hotman paris to be your lawyer
hi Julian i discover your channel ! and i love that ! do you will show us more content about investing ?? cheers
Well, a lot of people are going to be out off investing in indonesia if the government dont fix this
Hi Julian, I just watched your video and I’m so sorry you are experiencing such injustice. What is happening to you reminds me of Michael Singer’s book “The Surrender Experiment” where he tells of his own life journey. He also went through something really difficult. It’s an amazing book that I recommend to all my clients. I always ask “what am I supposed to learn from this experience??” Thank you for everything you are sharing 🙏
this wont go viral because many indonesian cant understand any english, maybe if you put indonesian subtitle, it will spread wider
Plot Twist: the government IS the corruption. They won't look into anything.
you gotta stay low key in in countries like Indonesia. don't boast and brag online to avoid this
I like your wisdom about experiencing, we are born to have experience, not collecting (collect things).. 👍🏼🙏🏼
Bro you technically took the calls of dubai and london at their night time
Sorry to hear about your issues in Indonesia. Did a quick search and seems most of the articles about you are in Indonesian only (except for the articles covering your ban from Indonesia itself). Evidently such small press is typically easy to buy stories without international press integrity standards. However it seems there is a bit more to the story and that they were merely amplifying facts about your tourist visa while conducting business along with the usage of property ownership when referring to leasehold (stroking local xenophobic concerns I guess). I’m sure it’s a common practice that others do but I guess when you publicize it, it kind of gives them the ammo needed. Seems it’s a lot of misunderstanding and possibly exploitation of your grey areas by your opponents rather than outright corruption. However I guess my original comment 7 months ago on your Bali video kinda rings true today: “Successful people generally have very intuitive understanding of humans (arguably a sign of intelligence given your subconscious - which processes information quicker, and absorbs more information - observes and remember details to formulate patterns hence informing your intuition); the problem often comes when you ignore your intuition and subconscious. Glad you didn't get scammed. Curious how much was the 3rd plot you bought; you mentioned it was expensive. I guess it still makes financial sense since land is a scarce resource; it'll naturally still appreciate over time, typically. So purchasing it overpriced now can still be a good return for the future. The only problem is purchasing land in any developing country that can typically be riddled with corruption and without stringent rule of law poses inherent risks to ownership (especially as a foreign investor) in the event of instability or future laws (xenophobia comes and goes especially as a nation grows - unlikely risk factor but still a possibility) which could devalue your investments or liquidity of it. Cool vlog.” I guess you understand that investing in developing countries can bring outsized returns but also with outsized risk from security and corruption. Without a developed legal system and rule of law, there are many loop holes to exploit if desired. Even with developed legal system and rule of law there are loopholes to exploit. However not so much as in developing countries without rule of law where you can pay your problems away or pay problems for your adversaries. Even China was once like this till President Xi cracked down on corruption and bribes. Of course the traditional practice of guanxi (which is more so relationship building) still holds but not blatant corruption or bribery. Corruption leaches from the public to those in power. Common in developing countries unfortunately. Would feel unethical requiring to give bribes as a part and parcel of business. And dangerous too sometimes when dealing in developing countries like the Aussie gold miners in Mali being held hostage till they negotiated a new deal drastically in favour of the military leaders; evidently their stock price hit rock bottom with investor concern about political stability and basically all their upside and profit being usurp by the military leaders. Risk and rewards of doing business in developing countries.
Your living my dream mate, enjoy, we are only here once it’s not a rehearsal.👍
I share your same fear. I’m yet to hop on a plane ✈️ Ever
Kind of sad to see how much the temperature has changed and how little snow there is. Climate change has also changed skiing in North America.
I love that you said you shouldn't do everything too early because influencers push and push and push to do everything so early and everytime I think to myself "but why? Part of the joy is waiting to do something for so long and then finally being able to do it"
Hi i Julian, greetings to you. What I’m about to say may sound harsh. My intentions aren’t meant to scold you, rather to be informative and I hope that you can accept my statement in that light. You’ve been dealt a rough hand, a hard experience within a situation that you may have had a part in but also quite obviously was beyond your control. Who am I? I’m an American citizen with 42 years of experience in Indonesia, approximately 37 years experience in doing business with Indonesians, Indonesian companies both in the USA and in Jakarta. I’m a husband to an Indonesian woman, we have two successful children. You appear to be financially successful and so in other ways. However, what is painfully obvious & sad is how little it seems you know about Indonesia and the ways of doing things here. Doing business here, particularly for foreigners is definitely complicated by our cultural standards. There’s an old saying, ‘when doing business in Indonesia bring a suitcase for your clothes and three for your patience’. I believe that you meant well when you bought a new model IPhone for your young Balinese friend (a previous video). However kind your intentions were, broadcasting this on a RUclips video inspires jealousy which you probably wouldn’t have imagined. Simple things like that are important in the eyes of the people and especially true in the eyes of power here. When you post videos of your lovely lifestyle and your hopes of what you wish to acquire here it’s going to create ‘interest’. There’s an expression here ‘penampilan dulu’. Roughly translated as appearances matter. Take that to heart. This isn’t a place whereas a foreigner you come and plunk down loads of cash, buy a restaurant/bar ( a very cool place indeed!), broadcast it on RUclips or otherwise and not expect to have some unwanted attention. Your rights here are limited. It pays to be humble and to keep a low profile. Learn the system before you delve into it! You can blanket label it as ‘corruption’, however there’s a way to get things done and done right, to your ultimate benefit. The ‘system’ is built upon ancient history and traditions. It’s an intricate web and you, I, or the Dutch Colonial empire won’t change it. It takes a long time to get a handle on this. So, you’ve suffered and now you’ve been black listed. I’m sorry to hear that. In my own experience life’s precious lessons usually come with some pain. Make the best of your situation with regard to your Bali experience and learn from it. Wishing you good health, insight and wisdom in 2025. Salam hangat, Brian 🙏
Why don't u try to ask for help to Balinese women name Niluh Djelantik whom a person that have a connected to powerful person in a bali government or perhaps find an important information about it. I hope u can solve ur problems. God bless u❤
Hey there Indonesian here, i want to let you know about an Indonesia campaign that might help you, there is a campaign made by the vice president of Indonesia, called "lapor mas wapres" it's basically a thing to convey your message to the vice president of Indonesia, it is mainly used by Indonesian citizen, there isn't explicit information about whether non-Indonesian citizens can submit complaints through this channel, but if you can't you can get a citizen to help you out from Indonesia and be a representor to report something that happened to another person you need a "surat kuasa" and all of that complicated stuff, i've never filed one so you can text the whatsapp number on google. good luck, i am sorry that this happened to you, our country is corrupted af, if it wasn't it would be thriving. I myself is a still not that into political stuff and not of age yet, but the Vice president of Indonesia is 37 Years old, he's quite young for a political man, he's whole Instagram page is a meme page, am sure he's open minded, Heres a few options also that you can reach out to, but do your research first! : hotman paris, well known lawyer, has covered many controversial cases (from what i heard) Deddy Corbuzier, well known podcast youtuber, has covered topics about stuff with foreigners and have critique Indonesia political figures, and Indonesian people, he has covered variety of topics controversial stuff like that one time a Indonesian chess player got banned because a certain chess streamer community got him banned. Kind Regards, Young Citizen
Well deserved. You lied because you don't own anything. Government investigated you. And you can't do business on a tourist visa. Stop sharing lies bro..
This is inspiration for me bro
thats a fire watch collection
As an Indonesian, im sorry for what my fellow Indonesian did to you sir. Please keep sharing, 'cause this country is rotten from the inside and filled with corrupt actors. Like the others have said before, no virality means no justice
Did you use “notaris” for leasing this land/place? What visa were you on while you were here? Did you officially get deported? Whats the color of your stamp in your passport?
now you know how corrupt our government is.
THIS IS the exact reason i was sketched out about not "owning" the land there. But other people saying it("i bought")....and YOU are the one that gets publicly shamed for it, is disgusting. Sounds like an extremely corrupt system. I'm just a gaming youtuber, but i loved you channel, you're so real about about everything. Just persist. and keep going. You're gonna kill it. I already know it. i would say GL, but you don't need it brother! just keep going!
The Government and Media in Indonesia is always corrupted and out of context for the clicks and never recheck or reconsider everything for confirmation. Not to mention the people who consumes the media just blindly accept information that they encounter, which makes it even worse. The only way to escape is always to make it go viral and make their name known so they'll be forced to make up for what they did to protect their name even though they'll say "it was a misunderstanding" as an excuse after.
What happened?
