I think one of the way that contributes to the kind of mess we are seeing is in the rates….mainly when a trucker/hotshoter is heading homeward or heading another pickup location, they accepted loads for some unbelievable low rates and brokers are refusing to pay more because of that behavior…..need to stop

So $500 to get registered with the state for the LLC, the FMCSA registration, and insurance, tag registration for both truck and trailer. I did bought the truck used for $10k, plus the used trailer for $4k. All together was close to $20K. But you can start with less than that by leasing, but you will carry a higher monthly expense.

Unless your gross vehicle weight and gross trailer weight exceeds a combination weight of the 26000 LBS. what is gross weight of your truck and the gross weight of Your trailer?

It can pull it, but won’t last because the engine and transmission was not build for that kind of towing. The Ram 2500 Diesel 6.7L can handle the 2 cars trailer…..but my recommendation would be for the 3500 Diesel 6.7L

So to cross the scale at a weigh station you would have to be below the 26,000 pounds. However if you gets pulled in for an inspection They are going to look at some specifics, like the GVW of the trailer and your truck GVW combine, which not exceeds the 26,000. The truck in this video is 12,000 GVW and I uses a 14,000 trailer so I will have to minus the curb weight of the trailer which for mine is 4,995 so that will leave me with 9,005 pounds that I am legal to carry. Most of the 2010 and newer trucks are 14,000 GVW, so to stay under 26,000 you would have to de-rate your trailer to 12,000 pounds. Let’s hope that gives a little understanding of how it works. @@jimpway a hybrid vehicle doesnt charge its 12v battery with the alternator only. The high voltage system also charges the 12v battery. Id at the least check the voltage at the 12v battery while the car is running or powered up to verify its not being overcharged. But id also consider taking the car to a repair facility who can handle Hybrids/EVs and PAY to get the high voltage/hybrid system checked out. Id tell them up front what happened with the other 12v battery and have them look it over. Hybrids/EVs can be very dangerous and are not to be taken lightly.

I got a new battery, and it seems to be ok but I’m watching it

I got the alternator check, the machine said it ok. I replaced the battery at the Honda dealership so I’m watching to see if that takes care of it or there’s something some other issue
