I believe an Amal 376 is for a 500 yours being a 350 probably should have a 375.
@morini500dave omg ur right thank u so much .now looking into it .
ruclips.net/video/Yx_v4_HO7LM/видео.html thats the right color. Not shiny. I drove it in the military service.
Wrong color.
What colour do u think is should be
I had a 3TA years ago that did a similar thing. It was down to a worn carburettor, weakening the mixture.
F F S go an get a tissue and cough medicine...
My first go to would be to clean the air filter. I had a 400four which would run well for a bit and then would not rev hardly at all and got increasingly worse. it turned out to be a damp sponge at the entrance to the air filter box.
Awesome thanks for the advice I'm hoping to order one soon .thanks again
Your silencer is upside down. I had a super sporty half bathtub Tiger 90 when I was 18. My MZ Supa 5 was better but the Triumph had a lovely melifluous burble at low revs and a demonic shriek when I was trying to keep up with my brothers T120V. .
Iv not noticed that hahaha in that case I may have to look at getting a other one as I believe it is right hand only. Thanks. Take care
Decades ago, I had a 1961 3TA (civilian but no bathtub), it was a lot of fun and great to ride. It was very manoeuvrable and good in traffic. A two into one exhaust was a common mod, supposedly to improve lower end and middle range torque but mine had twin exhausts.
Sounds like a carb problem do you use a choke to start it, does the choke fully disengage when its warmed up? I remember the old manual choke levers and sometimes I would forget to turn it off until the engine started stalling.
I believe it is .was also thinking of removing the choke altogether and just use the tickler on the carburetor
Hey Aaron, assuming that's your name, I did some digging and if you Google "dutch army triumph motorcycle", You should find a Dutch website with a bunch of info/history and such. And just because you bought a Dutch ex army bike, them flatlanders over there are not going to assume you're fluent in Dutch all of a sudden, so the site is in English. I don't know of the top of my head what the specs are on that Monobloc, have to do some more digging. You can of course only be sure what jets and throttle slide are in there by taking it off and checking the numbers. Maybe some experimenting with different settings may work. You'll find both the Solex and Amal specs on the website as well as typical problems and the cure for them. Hope this works for you. Let me know. Cheers!!!
Looks like it’s doing 50 standing still.
Ya hahaha definitely need to change the speedo. I'm using gps at the moment
@@aaronkerridge originally would’ve been KmH speedo‘s for NL and, smiths are repairable. Finding someone that can do that effectively takes patience.
fastet bike for 7 years . great bike ! top exhaust sound 1
Yes indeed!
Cool!!! Bought mine in 1985 when the DOD released a bunch of them for auction. I think they were geared a little lower for off road riding and besides escorting a tank column doesn't happen at more than 50 mph. Tank tube inlet for deep wading, kinda unique. They had a Solex carb with a choke lever on it. Big black leather bags with lockable features. All the lube points were painted red. They had a skid plate under the engine. Interchangeable front and rear wheel, both WM2, 18". Exhaust system was painted silver grey. No chrome parts anywhere. Looks like your bike got started on being civilianized, something lots of owners did. I think you have a nice fairly unchanged machine here. Good score! Been awhile, may remember more if I dig deeper.
Awesome thanks for the information. Iv got a old tin green army paint to do the crome work with .the bike is running ok but struggling pulling away from a stand still abit.any idea's.take care .
@@aaronkerridge You're welcome. Don't want to sound like Mr. 3TA, I'm sure I'm not. 🤣 Not sure what size Monobloc is on your bike. Could be a little too big. I remember on mine a 26 Concentric was no good. Ran better with the 22mm Solex. Check your air filter, they're a bit special for this model only and yours may be old and clogged. Other than that check your timing and points, condensers, the works. I think there are smaller than 26 Concentrics available. These bikes were only 18 hp and pretty low compression, typical army stuff. Mine would do 60-65 mph with me being 6'2" and 190. I noticed yours is missing the crash bar on the down tube, but no big deal. Hope it helps. Let me know. Cheers!!!
@@vanman6368 uploading update video.
What Enfields did you have, and how does this compare?
I had a 70s 350 bullet and a old 500 .the 3ta has more character
Gorgeous.
Nicer than the civilian version
@avomanavoman thanks. I think so to .and tells more of a story.
Is this dark grey?
@@pushpopaddict matt black. They do the helmet in other colours tho
Had one in all balck. Still a brilliant bike by any standards. An indicated "Thats more than fast enough" 180mph on the limiter isnt to be sniffed at.
Hi sorry for the late reply. Ya iv just got rid of it. Starting to miss it already. Such a smoth engine and awesome power.
Watch the documentary Europa the last battle.
Rev bomb? 😂 Cool don't get me wrong and I used to love when bikes would fly by, but I've always known a rev bomb as hitting the limiter. Thought you were gona blow the kids ears out
Ive had my open class licence for 22 years with 7 bikes in the garage & still love riding my 660 MT. don't think I could sell it.
7 bikes wow 👌 ya I do miss the one I had .it just done everything and most of all it was fun .ride safe .
@ Should also say I'm a qualified instructor as welll, so I can write off the expenses & depreciation on tax
Glad you enjoyed your test ride on the Ryker & F3 Spyder. Sounds like you had a great experience! We have a 2022 Spyder RTL chrome model & throughly love it. Puts a big smile on our faces every time we go for a ride , it’s so much fun ! We have a short riding season here which can start from April or May until September depending on when the snow/ ice decides to come & go! Thank you for giving us a true opinion on what you felt, coming from two wheels, as we still get criticism for not being a motorcycle! It does get a lot of comments from people were ever we go! Seems like there are a few more dealerships opening up over there now, as I could only find 2 when goggled it a while back. Ride safe regards Stephen Alberta Canada.
Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot to me .ya I loved it.i would definitely consider one when the time is right. Thanks again. Ride safe.
Great stuff.....thanks mate😊
@PeterCompton-x5m no worries glad you enjoyed it .

Awesome thanks for your kind words ya iv also had many bikes all from all ages eg a 1962 royal enfield 350 .I feel the older bikes have more sole .iv riden new bike buy never owned. Thanks again
How is the comfort, could you do a long tour on it without requiring the services of a chiropractor?
Hi ya I forgot to mention that .it's good only thing is after about 50miles my rists started go hurt so I find if I grip the tank with my knees that helps .thanks for your comment.
@@aaronkerridge tried a zzr a while back , awesome bike but too much pressure on my wrists . Now got a pan European 1300 , an old man’s bike but I am an old men so is suits me 😀 ride safe and keep vlogging…….

@@franciscosanchezmartinez7081 english translation?
The first ones did 200mph unrestricted they put nylon caps in the carbs to limit full throttle ,just take them out, apparently . I had two later ones and they both did 175mph on the clocks. 😮
zxr 750 carb tops ..make it full power..but me wouldn't bother they go well enough
i had one34 years ago it did 180 mph mine wasnt restricted i suspect the slides aint opening fully
It's the carb tops mate. As the slide comes up to it's fully open position the tops stop it opening fully by touching the carb top. If I remember correctly the slide goes 3/4 of it's way up. Cure and access to full power is a set of tops.
Hi mate, thanks for the review. Does the bike get through MOTs OK with the MIVV exhausts? How loud are they compared to the originals (they don't sound too loud on the vid)? Cheers
@davidj7428 the had the baffles in for the mot n passed with ni problems
@@aaronkerridge Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated!
Had one of these years ago and always regretted selling it. I've had numerous, much more powerful bikes since but always missed the playful character of the MT. So I finally gave in today and bought another one. It won't be ready to collect till Friday.....and that's why I'm watching videos of them now :))
@MrBoybergs I loved mine and miss it lots
@@aaronkerridgeOmg; even more of a blast than I remember. Loving it !

very heavy on the wrists though, apart from that its fcukin mint. mine was blue black 1987
Sell it before it blows up.

That's a much better bike for you than a GPZ500S coz you're not exactly Skinny. 😂😂 I hope you have many happy miles! 👊✌️
@@davidboydarnott417 hahaha u saying I'm fat 😆 I do love the zzr1100. Take care
Feel the same 😞
its an easy fix crack on , this is why i ride classic bikes as i dont like mot,s. get yourself a nice honda 650 classic f mot,s.
Just bought one ! @ 78/years on my clock I’ve downgraded myself from a Raptor 1000 & all the positive reviews on you tube have convinced me this is the bike for me ( sensible 🥴) If I had 5 grand I’d buy another Buell 900 city X but alas ……. Nice review matey,I can’t wait till Monday 🤪
That's awesome hope you have fun I do miss mine
Bugger! I had the exact same on mine. Annoying because the new bearings are relatively cheap, but the work seems to be a tricky job to DIY, so a bit pricey once a mechanic gets involved. Hope you manage to sort it
@Phil480 ya this it's going to have to be a put it in the bike shop job.as iv not got tools .
Ah man! Once the headstock bearings are replaced it should feel loads better
@@tomstc ya hope so .thanks for the comment
I'd say that's a good deal for the Beeline. Think I paid about £95 for mine, second hand.
