      Hi Rick, thanks for your comments they help us a lot for improving the channel. Look this video it was one of the first we did, it’s true that our AI in that moment it wasn’t the best, so we took some action about it, we raise his salary and give him some books about aviation. Please watch our newest videos and PLEASE tell us if now it’s okey, our main goal is creating a channel where people like you can enjoy about the beautiful aviation world. Ones again thanks for sharing your observations with us 💙

    Retired airline EVP/Technics - I supervised production of our fleet, and I can state without hesitation, BOTH the A220 and the Embraer are excellent aircraft with exceptional quality and attention to detail throughout. Bravo, gentlemen! If I had the money, and the need, I would still prefer a Boeing 717 if I could get one with low time, or a new A220. Personally, I have always been impressed how Embraer started out with turboprops and over time built their expertise, design knowledge base and reputation. Great going guys!

    Killer Calhoun is still in charge as he kept his President of the Board seat and only one member of his hand picked bunch is not running to be rehired. This ensures he will only appoint those with the same culture. Trained by him to continue that toxicity. He gets final say on who stays and who goes as well as control of the CEO. Once again Killer is far less than forthcoming in his claimed "transparency" spinning another deceitful line furthering his own finances. His tenancy as President of the Board will be paid in the tens of millions with even more benefits. Nothing has changed at Boeing!!

      That's a very insightful observation. Let's wait and see what happens in the coming months. What's certain is that Boeing needs a significant restructuring; it's a major company with many challenges ahead. Right now, the industry can't afford one of the big players to falter. Penso que a Embraer não está "matando" o A220, ao menos não ainda, e talvez isso nunca aconteça, simplesmente, porque a Embraer, não está competindo com a Bombardier, lançadora original desse projeto, mais sim com a Airbus, empresa pertencente a um grupo de países muito influentes, política e, principalmente, economicamente, onde ofertas super agressivas e pressão econômica são uma constante, nas tratativas por futuras vendas. É contra isso que compete a Embraer, às vezes ganhando outras perdendo, porém mantendo-se firme na busca por novos mercados.

    • @aero261
      @aero261 Месяц назад

      That's a good reflection you're making. Indeed, there are European countries with vested interests in maintaining Airbus sales since it's a source of employment for many European citizens. Perhaps what can help Embraer gain more market share is the pricing flexibility it can offer, especially in a market where companies find it challenging to acquire new aircraft. We'll see how the future unfolds; right now, Embraer has a good product on its hands - Please remember subscribe to our channel, we publish videos every week youtube.com/@aero261?sub_confirmation=1

      Embraer's difficulty is that Airbus' aircraft have a very high degree of cockpit and systems commonality, so pilots that start flying a smaller Airbus, can convert to a larger one very much more quickly than they could if they started flying an Embraer. The product is very good, but until Embraer has an A350 equivalent, they are not going to be able to compete with Airbus, or outperform Boeing.

    • @aero261
      @aero261 Месяц назад

      This is true. Airbus's strategy of maintaining a similar cabin configuration is a significant competitive advantage they have over other manufacturers. After all, this aircraft is competing for a slice of the pie where low-cost airlines are looking for a quick, economical, and reliable solution to expand their routes. However, it would indeed be interesting to hear the perspective of a pilot.

    I don't think electric or super-sonic airliners will ever be a thing. I expect that, in the near future, the right to burn hydrcarbons will be rationed. Speed and space are luxuries that I expect to command a premium price in the near future. Planes might run on methanol, as it packs a higher portion of hydrogen than other hydrocarbons. And, unlike pure hydrogen, it is liquid at room temperature. Future planes will be likely slower and lighter. The shapes required to get lifting body do not hold cabin pressure well unless constructed much heavier than a simple tube made of the dame material.

    • @aero261
      @aero261 2 месяца назад

      It is a very good point of view. With respect to supersonic airplanes, at first, like any new technology, it will be difficult to massify it (perhaps in the future we can give our followers a ticket on the supersonic boom😉). When we see simulations of the cabins of the future, it is because they will be able to better understand the materials and will have different forms of construction, Airbus is investing in the development of quantum computing precisely for that. We will see what the future holds for us. Thank you for your comment, subscribe if you haven't already 😃

      @@holgernielsen-ti8ej if we're talking about "the market"; we're talking about deliveries! Maybe your product is two times better than mine, but if I'm selling three times yours, I'm kinda "destroying your plans"! 1700 deliveries in 27 years, equals 63 deliveries per year! 300 deliveries in 16 years, equals 19 deliveries per year! Come back in 2025 and maybe we can talk again! ;)
