    Got myself a GLE 53 a month ago. The facelifted 2024 model is a bit faster, 5 sec 0-100. I have an upgraded air suspension and AMG dynamic package, car handles amazing. Since it’s not a sports car, the acceleration is decent. Since my wife drives X5 x40i I see no point in getting a V8 M60i, same car with more power. Cayenne S is much more expensive and Q8 is not my cup of tea. I agree that when you need immediate acceleration it’s not responsive and it’s super annoying. The X5 response to throttle is way faster. For daily commute I prefer the GLE but for long trips X5 is my choice

    As far as sound is concerned ... nothing comes even close to an aftermarket setup with 70-80% of the cost of the "highend" factory...

    • @AdamLiveOfficial
      @AdamLiveOfficial Месяц назад

      True but the high end gives you 25 speakers including pre wiring for all speakers and subs. Makes an aftermarket upgrade much cleaner and lower cost than trying to retrofit it later unless you're in SEA where they do this all the time.

    I have the GLE AMG 63s and it’s insane. 0-60 times 3.6 and once 3.45 It’s subtle and comfortable in Comfort mode and becomes more responsive in S, S plus and race. Beautiful SUV You should have purchased the 63s Turn the start/stop off! I am unsure why you’re complaining about gas?! Doing 85 on the highway I get 19.8 and at 75 I get 21.5 Around town over 17 and mixed 18 plus

Anything else to note other than what you already said when it comes to a Coupe? I just want a pretty car and prefer the sporty look.

    • @AdamLiveOfficial

      Coupe is very similar only difference is shape, less head room in second row, less overall storage space. I'd make sure your car has 360 camera and acoustic package as those are important then look at rest of options. Cars come bare bones so ask for build sheet and make sure you buy a car with the options that are important to you

    Very informative video. I just bought one of these. It's incredible. I take slight issue with your comments about the speed. MB lists the GLE 53 as 4.9 0-60, not 5.2. Motor Trend last year put it at 4.7 and Car & Driver said 4.6. Anything under 5 is cooking and will smoke most every other SUV on the street, with the exception of ones that cost a good grip more. This car isn't marketed to people who want a Hellcat. For most people, this is more than fast enough. If speed is the only thing that's important, you could always have dropped an extra 50 grand on the GLE 63, which'll get you 0-60 in about 3.7. But overall good video. Thankls!

    Thank you for this video, I just happened to run across it. I am a BMW guy and I just purchased my first Mercedes vehicle. I have the AMG GLE 63s suv, although I do enjoy it, you are right about the quality issues. I have a rear door panel that rattles like crazy, it looks like the panel is not fully attached, I also have an exhaust leak near the engine. I smell exhaust in side the cabin and the engine sounds funny in low idle. You asked, how did I not notice before taking delivery? I drove the vehicle outside and bought the one in the show room. Also Mercedes is pretty far behind BMW as far as technology but I love the look of the cabin more and the sound of that V8 exhaust is insane in the Mercedes AMG. I will enjoy this one ones all the issues are fixed.

      @@edon2005 Well, it has been a while now since I’ve had my AMG GLE 63s and I’ve gotten used to it. I haven’t driven the X5 50e but I’ve heard that it makes a lot of power. Off hand I remember that there is actually remote start on the key fob, the doors unlock as you approach the vehicle and lock when you walk away, also you can drive most or all BMWs with just having your cellphone or a keycard and leave your key fob at home. There is also gesture controls and it has a few functions and not just one like Mercedes. Of coarse they both have auto parking functions but on some models you can use the app to remote park or move the vehicle. You should probably just take a test drive to see for yourself and see if the difference benefits you at all. I would love to be able to drive my GLE without having the key fob. It is so sensitive that I come out of stores or the office and my rear hatch is opened for who knows how long, also accidentally open the hatch in the garage and it hit the garage door a few times but no damage.

  • @mjunior4316

    Nice review. Could be just me but I think anything under 6 seconds for an SUV/Coupe SUV is considered "performance" friendly. I will say the only thing comparable is going to be the X6 M60i which we all know BMW is all about performance and the driving experience. The Cayenne Coupe is going to come out more expensive (like for like) every time for even the base model (believe it's rated at 5.6 0-60) and trust me, the Q8 is way more sluggish. The SQ8 I guess would be the comparable but feature for feature, it's going to come out more expensive than the AMG GLE. They did get the 2024 model under 5 seconds (4.9 0-60).

    • @AdamLiveOfficial
      @AdamLiveOfficial Год назад

      Perfect solution would be to copy Audi and Bmw and have the GLE 580 V8 engine be in the 53 and tune it to match at 4.1 0-60. Even with the inline 6 right now the 53 is just too far ahead in terms of luxury, interior and exterior looks, and overall features but with the V8 it would be a steal and would likely eat a majority of 63 sales.

    Not sure why the picture was reversed. (For those wondering this is Filmed in Houston )I am currently driving a BMW X5M model and the thing I like about it is it comes with virtually everything so there is no need to worry about which options to add. I think the GLE does look better on the exterior but you've not really sold me on the car's performance - brakes, ride, and slowness even with an AMG package. Thanks though for the overview.

    • @ahmadhout-n1l

      since when was 0-100 in 4.6 seconds considered slow? especially for an suv that large and heavy. this car isn't meant to be the fastest its a lower AMG trim, if you want something fast and sporty then get the 63s.

    Update-after having GLE63S which has the upgraded air suspension I recommend anybody looking to get a 53 get it with the upgraded suspension. MASSIVE difference in comfort and ride quality to the point that I wouldn’t buy a 53 without it, it’s that important of an option. The upgraded suspension is more comfortable in sport+ than the base suspension is in comfort.
