I’m doing this in school rn
You have to make better videos
Where do I find your links to your rubric? I loved the idea in here, but need notes. Can you supply?

Thanks for the episode! I really appreciated how you addressed the writing process and how it is not linear and doesn't look the same for every student. I also like the idea of using checkpoints to grade in a writing unit. I think so many students get overwhelmed by one big looming assignment to turn in, so the checkpoints probably make it much more manageable for them. With that, the ongoing feedback must be so helpful in helping students revise as they go without having to rewrite their whole essay.
garbage
We have a 45 minute class period, about how much time do I need to carve out for my vocabulary lesson?
But for kids in 2024 I don't know what they write about they don't read anymore they Don go to library don't buy books and teachers won't give them home work
so the first to draw a line will lose .can you enlighten me on how to play it?
5 to 6 minutes is crazy. I can do it in 3
Love it!!!
Speaking of bombarding, the loud popping noises for emphasis, and SO distracting.
The content here is very useful--thank you--but the overly loud "boink"/"pop" noises are so distracting from what you're saying. I would suggest re-recording your videos.
Absolutely love your ideas, thanks for sharing!
I would love to use this haunted escape room. When I clicked on the link from the responses from 11 months ago, the link is no longer available. Is there a new link?
This is a Fred Jones strategy. It’s called the Preferred Activity Technique.
“Socratic”(sp.)
I just saw this video. I noticed the file is not available anymore. Is there a way to purchase it?
unfortunatly the invite link is not working there at the moment. is there another way I can join?
After the premise, isn't the body just ICE - Introduce, Cite, Explain?
The open note quiz was not fully explained. I don't get that strategy. Would have loved to see a demo.

I like that.
Great info. Thank you for sharing.
I'm patiently waiting to be accepted into the community! I've been through into a unique situation and I'm completely lost lol
can I get the material
I love this, are they adding up to 15 minutes to earn a total of 15 minutes, or when they get 15 minutes-then they earn a whole 50 minute class period?
I saw your previous video for this idea. I’m starting my YLI’s next year for middle school English. As a teacher, I will definitely use this. 🩷 I bet the kids are all over it and hold each other accountable when slacking.
This was great. Thank you.
Thank you for posting these helpful videos. Do you have any videos where you identify/annotate these different parts in an essay?
Im a student why am I watching this
Thanks for posting the video. The info has been helpful. Do you have a longer video writing a summary?
Thank you for sharing :)
Watching the rerun! Michel in Canutillo, TX.
