He would be touched and maybe had composed more operas specially for her.
There is no recording of In Quelle Trine Morbide more beautiful than the one Caballé recorded for this album. But then again you could say that about all of the tracks on this album.

Brava Caballe! These were the words that greeted her when she made her entrance in Tosca at the Met in 1979. The very first time I ever saw her perform. Those words still resound in my ears.
