YES!! You're back!! Love Ron's fun attitude, and what a great artist! I've always admired the way they can put several different rigs onto a shirt design, and nothing seems outta proportion. All too often I see designs where this car or that one just don't feel right. NOT an issue here! Keep on putting out such stellar work Ron! Awesome interview Brad! Keep 'em coming!
Good to see! I have really appreciated your interviews with Pinstripe Chris, Steve Sanford, Kenny Youngblood and other car culture artists--awesome stuff. Thanks!
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Awesome interview. Thanks for doing this.
Ron Weber is my hero. great artist. great guy, always a positive attitude. had a great time working with him.
YESSSSSSS!!!! It's TIME!!!
That was AWESOME 😮😮 Definitely worth the wait.
Fantastic podcast. I loved the screen prints as the interview played on.
I remember crash make up outside of Circus circus
Another good one, Brad. Thank you.
Such a wonderful interview. I am 65 this year and was influenced by "Okie" the local sign painter. Bought my first quills from Wenesco supply in 79. I bought Dick Bird's catalogs but never took the time to get good, regretfully... I'm going to research Dick to learn more about him and his career as all the videos Im watching, he's not been mentioned. Ive done bits & pieces here and there, mostly signs for my own use, but recently got into vintage hydroplane racing. I ripped the vinyl off pounced a pattern and brushed my new numbers on just last night. I'm totally intrigued by your work gentleman. Really appreciate your stories, work ethic and sharing of your amazing work. Your humbleness expressed in this interview Jeff is admirable. On a side note, I just received my moms coveted plano box stuffed with oils, quills and notes to add to my collection. And although ill never be accomplished, I'll stick with it. I've been intrigued since Ole Okie shook like a leaf until quill hit the metal while taking a break at 16 yrs old from breaking down split rim 9, 10s & 11:20 tires for my Dad. Thanks, and may the new year bring you good health, good times and abundant blessings.
I'm glad you enjoyed the episode!
I loved the tiny stick figures at the end of the stripes.
Those are the best!!
So glad this video got recommended by youtube. Subscribed this was an awsome interview thank you
Thank you!
Oh WOW!!! You open with a picture of my truck door!! How frikken cool is that??!!! Hope you and yours are doing wonderfully!! Merry Christmas!! 😎🤘
🎉Wahoo!!! Bring on Season 3🎬
Hey guys I just jumped on this bandwagon on this show. I'm from Chicago I wish I would have the resources in Chicago but out here no one shares nothing. But I follow most of these people's work that helped me a lot.
Who does your chrome plating ?
What brand of engraver are you using? Where can you buy it ?
Great job Brad! The story of the Thompson's is what the racing world is made of. Danny earned his Black Hat!
Tim - I learned more about you in this 42 minute vid than I ever did hangin' out by the river. What an incredible interview and I'm really glad you were so genuine throughout. If I were in Idaho, I'd take you up on the 'use the tools on the weekend' deal. Cheers my friend!
Fabulous interview. I've lived 100 miles away from Jeff for as long as he has lived in Idaho but never had the honor of meeting him. I'd see him at the drag races and always wanted to talk with him, but I was so amazed at his talents I was too scared to approach him. It's great to know Jeff is so humble of his astounding talents. Now, after seeing this interview, I feel I can approach him for a conversation. Thank you, Brad and Jeff
I was so blown away by Steve’s Nova with the Corvair roof rendering, that I thought of building it. But I’m not a skilled custom car builder and at the time, didn’t have the funds to pull it off, even though cars were still cheaply available. I’m just thinking how Steve pushed me into things like interest in bodywork, paint, and illustrating.
That's cool as hell! I heard Robert Williams mention Pete Eastwood's '32 in another video, and naturally had to find out more............that's what brought me here. Awesome!
great story, thanks for the interview
Amazing!!
Super happy for this interview! We need more documentation of important people to this culture!
What a great interview . I grew up in the valley looking at my dads 34 ford 3 window. He’d tell me about racing stoplight to stoplight in the early 60s. It was never chopped or cut up. It was stripped down in the early 70s & paint inside & out. Found one dent in the front left fender the size of a quarter. I saw that car drive twice growing up…. I’m 60 & it’s still in my dads garage in amazing condition
Sweet tbank you
I live in Indy and there ain't no palm trees
He lives in Phoenix...
@@StoriesnSteel so why does it say Indy neighborhood?
I loved this interview
I striped an urn for a car guy, who was also my buddy....
Absolutely beautiful artwork and craftsmanship. Thanks for letting us witness this
Looks amazing, but i would clearcoat after pinstriping once again.
They didn't want to pay for clearing the entire car, and that would've added a ton more work...
Love it Brad! Great job, keep em coming.
"EPIC"!!!!!!!
Anytime I think my car dreams are too much, I just think of 'ol Pete Eastwood!🤠
Love the work. And old school too , I love it

Music sucks
@@smplyizzy I know, no more of that...
Does he have kids?
Old guys rule....
Awesome story!
Kenny is a legend. His funny car paint jobs in the 70/80s were amazing.
Thanks for the interview! I’d only known of Kenny’s automotive art before this interview.
Watching Stories in Steel kinda keeps me from wanting to retire. I'm 66 years old now, my biggest battle is with my eyes getting tired after hours of looking at things up close.
5:38 what kind of chalk do you use ?
It's literally plain old chalk. I walked into an art supply place, grabbed some white, red, blue and yellow chalk pencils. They're bigger diameter than "regular" pencils. DON'T get black because they have graphite (tape and paint won't stick) in them...
Too cool 😎
