George's Miniature Cars
Добавлен 11 авг 2018
Automotive Enthusiast/Toy Car Collector.
I've loved cars for all of my life and having my Dad buy me toy cars when I was a kid, created a love and passion for real and toy cars that make me who I am today! This channel lets me share my miniature car collection I've been building for 32 years now. Mostly die cast vehicles and around 200 plastic model car kits, waiting to be assembled. Scales range from 1:87 - 1:18. I have one 1:12 Revell '69 Camaro kit that needs to be done right, when the necessary skills are honed of course!

What's On Wednesday? New Hot Wheels Speed Machines!!!
I had this model as a teen in the '70s. Did an awful job building it, but remember that the hinged doors were especially cool. Thanks for the flashback!
Thanks for watching. I had a Ford J car kit(clear body) when I was 12, never finished it because it was like this kit with a lot of parts.
correct Bobby Allison 12 Gold and White was Miller, High Life i believe.
Yes, too bad Racing Champions couldn't advertise beer/alcohol products. ✌🏻🇨🇦
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars yes, i plan on getting some of the older high quality models and putting the decals on them. 9 coors, 1 Skoal and of course 33 skoal bandit.
6:02 that's the first one to have the plastic base, the last 4, or 6 before it are still metal and metal
I was stunned when I noticed the plastic base! Totally ruined the look of the landing gear. That's typical Hot Wheels....
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars Yep i agree, the plastic molding did ruin the nice landing gear, which is why I'm more or less reluctant to collect the newer ones. I will still collect them, but they'll never be the same as the full metal ones, those ones are super awesome.

Lotus 340R was a limited production vehicle. 340 were made!
Cool, thanks for watching!
Where does it say 1/21 scale? Why didn't Ertl make a true 1/18 scale car?
On the front of the box below ECTO 1, it says 1:21 die cast metal ambulance body. In 1:18 scale this model would be much bigger than the standard 1:18 boxes, so it's more practical(cheaper) to adjust the size of the casting rather than making a whole new box for just one model. Thanks for watching!
Very lucky. I wish i had that collection hahaha, the madpropz is my absolute favourite
Thanks! I loved this one since the first edition, luckily there were few collectors where I live into the Mad Propz. Bonus for me.
Difícil de encontrar.
Sold off most of them for pennies on the dollar, about the time this video made... no one wanted them.
Sorry to hear that. I'll keep mine together for historical significance rather than selling. Thanks for watching!
I'm not a fan of the 5 Dot or Ultra Hot wheels either! Sources wildly disagree with each other about when Toy #136 was released and what variations are in which year and what kind of cards they're packaged on, so ALL of the information I'm about to share comes from trucks that are in my possession and still mounted on their known original unopened cards, with the exception of one, which I currently have on order. This info is only about the carded versions and doesn't include anything about the boxed version, since I don't own any boxed ones. Keep in mind that this is probably not exhaustive info and that there could still be other variations of the 1996 releases that I'm unaware of their existence. Ok, here goes... Regarding the teal ones... Toy #136 was released twice. The first time was for the 1992 season and there were four of them. All four had 2029 on the bottom left corner on the front of the card. All four had the Doozie on the front of the card. Two of them were on solid blue cards and had Ultra Hots and HO wheels, the latter being originally released in the "The Hot Ones" series, but I don't remember exactly when. Those two versions also had a card variation... In the top left corner, they could have had a Speed Points banner. The other two were on blue cards that transitioned to white at the bottom. These two were released with 5 dot and 5 Spoke wheels. To my knowledge, neither of these had the "Speed Points" banner packaging, but if they did, I've never seen one. For 1996, there were only two released that I know of. These cards were blue to white and had what is I guess is based on a fairly late model at that time Mustang. These don't have the 2029 on the bottom left of the card, but instead they have 17545 at the bottom right. The first one sits on 5 Spoke wheels. The second one is a little weird. It sits on 5 Dot wheels, which is nothing abnormal, but this one has chrome windows, and as far as I know is the only carded version of #136 to ever have chrome windows. The next one you discussed was the maroon one. That one is #289 from the Steel Stamp series. It was released in three versions on five cards. That I know of. They were all maroon, they had the same tampos, chrome base and chrome windows, and had Ultra Hots, 5 Spoke and 7 Spoke wheels. These three were on the standard mainline cards. The last two were on two car cards, were identical to the other three and both had Ultra Hots. One was sold with Zendert Fact 4 and the other with Steel Passion. The next one was from the Race Truck series #382. This one came in three, possibly four variations. This is a cool truck. I've never been an Earnhardt fan, but fortunately they refrained from dropping a "3" on the doors, because that would have stopped me dead from buying it. Lol... Anyway, variations... some had a red Hot Wheels logo at the bottom rear corner of the doors, some didn't. Both of them had the yellow lettered GoodYear Eagle 7 Spoke wheels. Some of the ones with the Hot Wheels logo on the doors were on solid black 7 Spokes. That one is a given. Some sources also say that the solid black wheels were also on the version without the logos, but I've never seen this version, not even a picture of one. That first yellow one that you showed, #771, that one was also available on an identical card, only it had a blue car instead of red. The silver one in Hot Wheels livery also came in a convention car, limited to 500 examples, and its card was identical to the retail one. Inside the blister was a ZAMAC body, a black chassis, the regular 5 Spoke wheels and orange translucent windows. The last time I looked into buiying one, they were being listed on eBay for around $100. That was several years ago, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were trying to get upwards of $150 now. No thanks... they can keep them! It also wouldn't surprise me if they were the same sellers still trying to unload the same trucks lol. I made one for myself though, just because. It came out pretty cool looking, but even a quick glance reveals that it probably isn't authentic, which is fine with me. I was going for similar, not authentic. That other yellow one is another pretty cool example. The Bonus Car was for 1999. Circus On Wheels and Radical Wrestlers. I really don't like either of them. I have both of them because for a long time, I was buying all of them. Every time I'd see one that I didn't have, Buy it. I've always liked this casting, but it's inevitable that at some point, you're going to find one that you just don't like. Cop Rods was 2000. I really like this one, in spite of the fact that it's a police vehicle lol. The next one over, the blue one, was from a 1999 five pack called House Calls. Yep, you're right, the one on the yellow and red card was from 2008. It was called Classics (Series 4). I don't have any of this set. If I remember correctly, I think it was the aqua one that was on a different size and shape card than the blue, green and red trucks. It would have been on a shorter and wider card than the other three. Aside from the convention cars, these four are among the very few Flashsiders that I don't have, the other two being from a series called Street Show. That last one that you couldn't remember what product line it came from, with the Centerline logo and wheels is one of two from Slick Rides in 2010. I really like this one too. As far as their premium Flashsiders go, they have a really nice one in Ultra Hots from 2007 that is burgundy with wide whitewall RRs on deep dish mags. This isn't the same Ultra Hots that we have today with $3 cars exclusively from Target. It's an actual premium line that is completely unrelated to the Target line. This particular truck doesn't have any graphics or stripes or flames or anything else like that. It's just a beautiful, clean looking truck the way Chevrolet would have sent the Task Force out into the world in 1956. Thank you for sharing your collection with us. You're obviously a real fan of this casting, and there aren't too many of us out there that have collected more than two or three.
Thank you for the comment! Really appreciate the information!!👊...✌🇨🇦
I just purchased a 1/43 hot wheels Mercedes gtr race car at target for 29.98! It's a great one and very detailed
Paid the same price, glad to have it in my collection!!👊✌
Lovely models. I have the transporter which is in a not very good state. I'm going to restore it. Do you know of anywhere I could acquire the 2 hydraulic parts (at around 17.23 on your video). Mine are missing, but I can get all the other parts I need
Sorry I can't help with replacement parts. Best wishes in the restoration!!👊✌🇨🇦

Man i had these back in 07 Jada Toys was on a Wild run
Original Jade Toys were from '99 - '09, company was sold and continued till '19 and then sold to the current owner Dickie toys. Early days were better quality yet still love the brand!
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars I agree these & Maisto Pro Rodz.. Man you got me time traveling.. But If I would have known the closed box Value.. but like you say.. Company was sold & for a time they were off the shelves
Yeah, Maisto Pro Rodz are cool too! Have 3 scales of those as well.
Fantastique vidéo merci beaucoup j'adore j'aimerais les commander mais je ne sais pas où les trouver 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you very much for watching!
Does this series of Racing Champions really high speed like the claim?
They did have a free rolling wheel design, trying to compete with Hot Wheels but not as good imo.
The national motor Museum mint is a pretty good diecast manufacturer. I actually just got a really good deal on six models on Facebook marketplace for $20. They’re very well detailed for their scale I usually collect 1/18 scale or 1/24 scale but for a 1/32 scale model, they really do pack in a bunch of features and detail, I think they are worth the money. I’m gonna have to get my hands on one of them Corvettes.
Great deal!! The level of details in this scale is similar to what you get in larger scales. Thanks for the comment!
Is this Hi Tail Hauler a Ford F100 or a Chevy Side Step Pick Up as no Make or Model is ever mentioned. They both look similar as you normally see a brand name in the tailgate. Why the Hi Tail name ? Love the Old Style Shapes of the PickUps / Trucks. 👀🔥🇦🇺
Not sure where the name comes from, you'll have to ask Larry Wood or Bob Rosas. lol The truck is a '56 Ford. A very cool body style, '53-'56 imho.
I love that car and i got to drive the original real Batmobile with my friend George Barris i and he gave me both his models cara the Hot wheels elete one and the Lincoln that it was made from with his autograph on them both and they are still in the boxes
Very Cool! Thank you for watching!!
I have the yellow truck but all the pieces are missing off at the trim
Thank you for watching Daniel!✌
Nice I haven't seen any of these on Ebay IM buying what i do see though
Thank you James! Good luck with the hunt!!✌🇨🇦
My el caminos hood opens up all the way. It's got a supercharged engine in it
NICE!
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars where have you been? You haven't made a video since October.
Hey George. It's been 5 months since you made a video. Are you doing ok? I've missed you on RUclips.
Hey Zach. I'm alright, thanks for asking! My current job is going well, although it's heavy duty work. Making videos takes a lot of time and effort so I've taken a break. This April will be the 4th anniversary of my channel, planning on doing something.✌
Hey George, to open the bonnet (hood) on the Chrysler Ghia you just need to press down on the front suspension..
Hey, thanks Chris.
Like you I totally love Corgi Toys.. I grew up in the 1960's and Corgis were my favourite toy back in the day. In the 1990's I attended an auction with a friend and by chance there were about 8 - 10 mint condition Corgis which hit me with a nostalgia overload. Naturally, I bid on them and they came home with me. I then started collecting the ones I had as a kid and now at 67 years of age I have two cabinets with in excess of 250 Corgi vehicles all from my childhood era of between 1958 to 1970... I only need to look and handle them and I'm instantly transported back to being 10 years old again. Along with several others and all the original catalogues I also have the same book that you have.
Thanks for sharing! Sounds like an awesome collection you have. I've never bought online so all my Corgis were found at thrift stores, toy shows and people I know. If I had to do it all over again, Corgi would be my focus. But, there are so many other cool die cast manufactures I love collecting. Majorette is one of those with great detail, opening parts and spring suspensions. I'm loving their Porsche and VW models. A Great Hobby no matter what you collect!!✌
I absolutely love these. The Matchbox cars along with the Racing Champions Maxx are my favorite. I've been finding a lot of them very often and have built up a sizable collection. Last week at an antique mall I found a Dale Earnhardt Matchbox for $7 which is dirt cheap for Dale Earnhardt merch. And at another antique mall I found a Russ Wheeler for the same price which Days of Thunder diecasts are pretty hard to come by.
Thank you Michael. Nice finds, good luck with the collection!
Hi George! Dimi has passed away on February 3rd - he had a heart attack. Loving to see this tribute once again and I'm going to save it into the #doitfordimi playlist
I'm shocked and sad to here that. He was a Great guy and my first subscriber. My condolence to his family!!
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars I was shocked as well. Dimi was also one of my first subscribers. First in 2017 with his old Audi Power channel and later in 2019 he started his Youngtimer Oldtimer channel with the diecast model cars. Very sad we've lost him ... way too early
You planning on adding wheels to the one's that are missing them?
I got a set(#1) of 6 Hot Wheels real riders at the last Toy show(fall), I have many other cars planned for those. April is the next toy show so I'll get more sets, hopefully.
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars I hear you. I have many different totes of unopened vehicle's and many other containers of open mixed together
I love Pontiac Firebird Trans-am cars. I only found one of the new Hot Bird version. Did a wheel swap on it. Nice collection you have
Thank you Shawn! I'm a Camaro lover but, the Firebird TA is the cooler of the two!! Like a real car, gotta swap out the factory wheels. LOL
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars I do swaps with mine also. Except for my original 1989 Trans-am GTA ♥️ All F-Body cars are awesome
Have the YELLOW one. LOVE the BLACK one!!!!
Hey, Thanks for watching! Black one is beautiful!!
Interestingly there was never a 1948 Tucker Torpedo, the only "Torpedo" was The Tin Goose, the hand hammered prototype that still exists. No Tucker was ever fitted with seatbelts. And the engine had a two barrel carburetor, it was not fuel injected and there were no disc brakes.
I stand corrected!🙏 Disc brakes and fuel injection were planned for the car along with a few other modern features but all was deemed to expensive to develop. Not sure where I got seatbelts from, oops.✌😊
@@GeorgesMiniatureCars Still it's one of the best looking cars ever made, the lines are still a great blend of todays modern and yesterdays curves. They are quite breathtaking to see, I'd love to see one in person one day. It's a true bitter sweet tale of the guy trying to build a better mousetrap, he came oh so close. The fact that he got as far as he did on the a third of the money needed to really pull it off is amazing unto itself. I read recently that after it all went bad and they auctioned off all the assets including the cars, that Tucker kept two, one for his wife and one for himself. Thought that was pretty cool

I've loved these from the first time I seen 'em! 24 years ago!!👍✌

Thank you very much Mark! Appreciate the sub!!
I'm sad that they never made the black glitter hot bird with alternate wheels. I'm not a big fan of the UH wheel look. You've inspired me to make a custom.
Thank you very much, I'm happy to have inspired you to make a custom! Knock it out of the park!!
Very cool additions, my friend 👍😊
Thank you bro✌🏻☺️
There were actually 3 companies that produced dealer promotional models, Amt, Jo-Han, & Mpc. The most expensive and desirable promos are the muscle car promos. Chargers, Chevelles, GTOs, 442s, Mustangs, etc.
Would certainly love to have muscle car promos!! When I win the lottery, I'll start collecting those! LOL. Thanks for sharing.
Soo, is there a diffence between the model kit and the other one?
Both are the same. They're held together with screws so JADA can make more money selling a "kit" version. Thanks for watching!
i have one,but is the Gleam Team Edition
Thanks for watching! The Gleam Team was cool but the bodies are plastic with metal chassis. I had the Corvette Stingray from that series.
🤩
Pissed? 🤔
Nope!....🤔
Very nice review. I prefer the classic blue one 👍😊
Thank you Toni. 😉✌🏻
The red Challenger also comes with a red interior/hood scoops and white interior/hood scoops along with wheel and window tint variations. The blue Challenger has a light, medium and dark blue variations along with window tint variations. REVIN REBEL has a white top version and also base and a star variation on the trunk. TOY MAN has wheel and base variations, there's also a white version(was sold at SAM'S CLUB).There's a white with purple variation of the yellow and black Challenger and they have wheel variations. Edit:Eh, Almost forgot, there's a baby blue similar to the HEMI challenger with yellow bolts on the sides(racing action pack) with a base color variation. Anyways, good stuff, nice collection.
Appreciate you watching and the comment! Good thing I'm not a "completest" as much as I would love to have every edition, I'm happy with what I've found in the wild!✌
brings back a lot of memories glad to see it again
Appreciate your comment, thanks!
