I don’t get the purpose of this video called Piggott, Arkansas. All I saw was a road with occasional buildings and houses. It seemed like you were trying to get there as fast as you could. Did you drop off a hitchhiker?

I was born in Piggott and lived there until I was around 9 years old. Have family still there on both sides of my family. In fact my oldest sister still lives there. ❤

It’s literally a Ghost town. They don’t want modern change. All the residents are Nosey. Nothing to do. You will loose your mind living in this ghost town. The town people are clueless and can never answer questions, everything in town is expensive, no jobs, racist, town and cemetery is segregated, they don’t upkeep the roads or enforce anyone to fix their fallen down homes, people are starving and suffering in Spur, it’s a hell hole, no good food, no entertainment, nothing, meat is limited in the small over priced supermarket in town. They make it clear they don’t like outsiders, they are stuck in their own ways. Sad but true. Worst mistake moving here. Marshall applewhite is from Spur. Sad to see the residents don’t want change. It’s a ghost town with weird stuff going on. A lot of junkies as well in the town. The truth is the truth.

I lived near there and went there often. But they had a cop that molested children that was fired from Elk City for demanding sexual favors from women he pulled over. Of course Fredonia hired him. But that's how it was in the 70's. Nobody cared.

Thanks for showing me my hometown. I remember it seems there was aleays a festival on the square, and crafters fairs, farmers market. ❤ I miss the place awful. We only lived 4 blocks from Crystal lake-South Lake to my family😂😂 so many memories.

Thank you for visiting my hometown. You happened to visit when our annual Homecoming was starting. That's what you saw downtown. I own a small Flea Market on the west side of the square. We call our downtown "The Square ". Too bad you weren't able to get our beautiful South Mound. With our big American Flag. At Christmas time, on the mound, we have a huge star lit up and at Easter a huge cross. I was born, raised and still here. I love my town.

Gene Hackman, Dick and Jerry Van Dyke, Bobby Short, Astronaut Joe Tanner, to name a few ! When that guy said he didn't recognize anyone else, I thought he must not get out much ! Old Town ? I'd guess ! Founded in 1827 ! Abraham Lincoln practiced Law here ! Between 1873 - 1923 Uncle Joe Cannon served in the House of Representatives ! Lots of History here to learn just driving thru ! But sadly, like many Cities, industry, and jobs here, most have left years ago now ! Not the thriving City full of people walking the streets and shopping, anymore ! That's progress !

I remember I used to go to floydada tx,with my 5 sisters I was then 12yrs,we used to go to the drive-in motor theater,fun back those old days in the 70's!!

I really enjoyed your videos,plainview texas, I was born and raised there,and lockney I lived there too when I was like 7,so sad it's so empty now,but plainview lived there till I was 26 and then I moved here to California....God bless all your travels.
