Cymond's paracord bottle lanyard knot (tutorial)

This is a tutorial on how to tie it a lanyard knot that I "discovered" a few years ago. If you know the name, please let me know. I've never found a reference to this design, but I doubt I'm the first person to tie this knot. They're simply, cheap, easy, and lightweight. Give them away to friends. Keep one in your car. Keep one clipped to your backpack. Keep several in your camping gear. Carryi...

Replacing the brake warning light on Austin Healey Sprite, MG Midget, MG B, etc al
Просмотров 1042 года назад
This is a quick tutorial on the lesson I just learned about replacing the brake pressure warning light on late model Spridgets and other British cars. The warning light really isn't very important, anyway. It "warns" you after the braves have already failed, which you would probably notice, anyway. special thanks to Gareth on AH Exp for taking me how to do this. I was trying to follow the direc...

    Nothing at all against the fancier more elaborate bottle lanyards or "jug slings" but sometimes ya just need the "down and dirty" quick bottle knot and this is it. No fuss no muss. We'll just call it "Cymond's Bottle Sling" :)

      @cymond Год назад

      I assume you mean smooth without any ridges when you say "continuous", like an antique cola bottle. Unfortunately, I don't know. Those have become very rare here. I would probably have trouble gripping the neck tight enough.

    I like it... but I'd add a ranger knot around the 2 strands. This would allow a locking mechanism with a friction bead.

  • @KayakingVince
    @KayakingVince Год назад

    Still overcomplicated. Just take the loop and make a marlinespike hitch in it and you are done. Got several bottles? Tie several such slipknots.

    • @plywoodcarjohnson5412
      @plywoodcarjohnson5412 Год назад

      You do have a point, bcoz there's two strands under the lip. With just one strand (basically any selftightening knot) there is even less room required for the jug sling to fit.

    De hamer draait ipv de lopen of zoals bij een revolver de cilinder die roteerd, werk dit ook zo bij een dubbel loopse shotgun waar de lopen onder elkaar zitten? En bij een shotgun met bijvoorbeeld 3 lopen? Of werkt dat dan met meerdere slagpinnen? (bij ons word de hamer ook wel de haan genoemd) Ik vind dit een bijzonder en mooi meganisme👌🏻
