Amla Chutney || Sweet and Spicy Amla Chutney or Pickle || Indian Gooseberry

A powerhouse of Vitamin C, Amlas or Indian Gooseberry is a winter favorite as it's a perfect immunity booster in the cold winter months!
Ingredients
6 Amlas or approx. 250 gms
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 to 2 green chillies, chopped
1" pc ginger, chopped
3 tbsp. Mustard oil (preferably)
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. methi seeds (fenugreek)
1 tbs. Fenugreek seeds (saunf)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper prowder
1 tbsp. cumin powder
2 tsp. Kashmiri chilli powder
Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
3 tbsp. Jaggery
3 tbsp, White Vinegar
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
Wash and boil the amlas till soft. Deseed and crush the flesh lightly.

    Thanks for sharing , but I did not understand the timing at the end, what is the 2 hours and 20 and what is the 7 hours?

      Your welcome! The yogurt setting time is 8 hours. The 2 hrs and 7 hrs is to demonstrate the time remaining for the setting. The nutripot timer begins counting in the ascending order I.e. from 1 hr, 2 hrs.... etc upto 8 hrs and then switches off. E.g. when the nutripot shows 2 hrs means 6 hrs remaining to complete setting and 7 hrs means 1 hr remains to complete setting time. Hope I have made myself clear. If not do let me know.

      Pure, uncontaminated oats are gluten-free. You need to check the label because sometimes, oats may get mixed with other grain during processing and get contaminated.

      @srr2937 Dear, if dough turns out sticky, add some flour until you get the right texture. Rajgira rotis will not turn as white as jowar. Check the video. Let me know if you need any help.

      You may use Poha and try, but Rawa would give you similar result as Quinoa. For gluten free option, use Rice rawa I.e. Idli Rawa

    The moringa bean pods are the most delicious veggies you can possibly eat! Ask any South Indian or East Indian. Its used in lentil curries like Sambar, cooked with coconut like above, put into vegetable fish stews in Bengal, (called macher Jhol). The flavour is memorable. You suck out the tender pods and the flesh around them, then discard the hard outer skin.. Way tastier than artichokes. Surprised that the West hasn't cottoned on to this veggie.

    Hi, This is such an amazing recipe.. will give it a try today.. can i add boiled potatoes instead ? Also what is the purpose of the grated raw papaya? Can it be skipped ?

      You can add boiled potato but raw potato gets cooked, so you can omit the step for boiling the potato. Raw Papaya is to tenderise the meat. Yes, you can avoid it.

    I did not know this Bean is edible. I’ve been letting the beans to mature and discarding the beans. This tree was growing in my property when I bought it. And I was gonna chop the tree down. Glad I didn’t. 😊

      It not only edible but delicious and healthy. Many ways to prepare it. The leaves of the drumstick tree are also edible. Check out the recipe for drumstick leaves on my channel. You can add the leaves to soup too. Google 'moringa' to find out its nutritional value.
