"The Road to Mandalay" is a poem written by British poet Rudyard Kipling in 1892. It is one of his most famous works and is often considered a classic of English literature. The poem describes the longing and nostalgia of a British soldier for the exotic and distant land of Mandalay, which was a city in British-controlled Burma (now Myanmar) during the late 19th century.
