a song from a gathering at the now defunked Saltersgate inn. the stage was over the road in a massive tent, the band were called gone, and this recording is poor but a good time was had by most as you may be able to hear.

Oh yeah China...the same shit from different toilets...it's all junk why give up your life for a stupid decision...God loves us all... that I believe Christ will hear and heal all!!!!
We did not have Mexican cartel killing their own customers back then.oh could they be terrorists? Heroin killed some of the greatest musicians of our time..,now there are kids pretending art imitates life.. Heroin is a Russian roulette from the day you even think about doing it..,Why...,
Heroin finally realized it had met it’s match and decided to quit, before things got any worse.🥵
A seminal influential riff, an ethereal and beautiful voice, bristles with energy, an ode to tradition, timeless. Goes well with Guiness.
High as f*ck
I guess the term, 'functioning addict' applies to Keith Richards. He's been strung out, clean, strung out, clean, and still living. And what a life the legend has had.
Knew Sappho Korner when I was 15 we used to party at their house in Notting Hill, still remember the "adults" going in a room closing the door so us kids could'nt enter, wonder what they were up to?!
To think there's a whole generation or wo that will never even hear this. We should forever celebrate our heritage- it's OK for Scots welsh and Irish, why not English? (It's not racist)
A true hidden gem of a song(and album). That guitar solo at the end is beautiful.
SILLY
great album
What is grunky? Lol
One of my favorites
I’m an ex heroin addict who’s been on methadone for over 20 years. Scared to come off, it’s a worse and longer withdrawal than heroin
Its true hes still alive.but this man no take ordinary drugs .take puré drugs.big diference
Love this music, and always will! God bless you all!
Was für eine coole Musik
Beautiful
Nice one.
Great guitar sound. Krunch!
There is something in this song, and Sandy's treatment of it that induces happiness and melancholy in equal measure. I can't stop listening, wonderful and mysterious.
This has always been me and my father's thing he introduced me to this album many years ago and its a really favourite
Prince Far-I is required listening for anyone new to reggae. I try to tell kids who are into Rebelution and bands like that. They often don't take me seriously. That old school ragga ain't sugar-free, island resort stuff.
Remembering Sandy Denny born on January 6, 1947. She was an English singer-songwriter who was lead singer of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention. She has been described as "the pre-eminent British folk rock singer". After briefly working with the Strawbs, Denny joined Fairport Convention in 1968, remaining with them until 1969. She formed the short-lived band Fotheringay in 1970, before focusing on a solo career. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Denny
Bad job lying to the camera, Keith. Too bad you gave up so much being a wanna be when you had it going on all along. Daft.
Bet you that no one will ever read this comment
I've LOVED this tune for decades! SO uplifting.
I absolutly love this song! I've listened it ( another version, but similar) for the first time sung in a beautiful Hamlet show. After that, I find this version and still love it!
Alexander Bedward was a powerful mon. Possibly more then Garvey and Tuff Gong!!
This was the first Prince Far I song I ever heard, and after 30 years it still blows my mind! Great sax playing (Deadly Headley?) and extraordinary drumming by Style Scott. Prince Far I + Adrian Sherwood = match made in heaven! Far I's self-produced albums were great already, but his Singers & Players work is simply astonishing.
I've been clean now for nearly 3 years after nearly 40 years of methadone and heroin I have My daughter back now and my grandkids I'm not going back now I had my mum and dad were her parents God bless them because her mother died in my arms when she was 3 months old
we dont forget

Doesn't seem like he was drinking and drugging at this time. You can't go out jogging all the time when you're drinking and drugging.
Oldham forced them to write their first song .He had the vision to know they could do it. What the came up with on the first try didn't suit the bad boy image that Oldham wanted for them, so he gave As Tears Go By to Marianne Faithful who had a big hit with it. Once they realized they could write a hit song, they had the confidence to go on to write the most successful catalog of hit pop songs in history. They owe much of their success to Andrew.
He's go' sor' ov a public skool thing going on....
" Mick and Keith were always together. . " . . . . . that partnership has aged so well 😃
What.
What an amazing song!!! In fact it's two parts with powerfull rythm. Greetings from Hellas!
It was a great tour. Saw them two nights on this tour at the Pontiac Silverdome.
It's a wonder anything was recorded , pretty cool .
Delay the Wah
Interesting psychedelic melodies . 🎸
