You ought to be ashamed of this video. It’s fine to film the station, but don’t point your camera directly at the employees. You clearly didn’t come to film the station - your video makes it obvious you were looking for trouble. You’re demanding everyone to identify themselves while recording them, yet you refuse to give your own name? And to top it off, you’re filming the station but don’t even bother to show its beautiful aspects, which clearly demonstrates you weren’t there for that. Honestly, what a twattish display of behaviour.

Chiltern Railways' middle management and security staff have a really arrogant and bad attitude. It's Marylebone station, a railway station in the heart of central London where passengers and tourists pass through and occasionally film in and photograph every day. It is not Area 51.

When clueless security muppets try to restrict your freedoms they should be reported and a personal lawsuit taken against them. Threatening and restricting a citizens freedoms is not only illegal but also a criminal offence.

Why do police say its not illegal to do something, what happened to the Lawful law, this is a Country and not a Corporation business were legal law applys over Lawful law.

Railway stsions , like shopping centres , while being open to the public , are actually private property . That being the case , the property owners are legally allowed to set any rules they wish , and these can include NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY without permission . This is the law . The remedy is that anyone challenged can either be asked to stop their activity or can be asked to leave ; if they refuse they can be escorted from the premises and they can be banned from returning - this is all perfectly legal . In general , it is tolerated for private individuals , or train enthusiasts to come in and take pictures of friends , family or things like steam trains . However when people start filming things like security measures or station staff , this will arouse suspicion and will lead to challenges . The content of the video prior to the conversation was exactly that : filming people passing through security barriers , filming further barriers and panning around the station looking for cameras etc , then filming staff . It is no wonder that this activity was challenged . Regardless that the station is open to the public , there is no entitlement to film on private property , and anyone doing so can be asked to stop or to leave .
