I'm new to e foiling and just in the process of figuring out how to stay on the board still need a lot of practice but so far I'm loving it , it's like flying across the water in ground effects! Thrust tested an Ivo Prop vs a Powerfin prop on a 440 Kawasaki Flyke PPG Trike. The Ivo prop hit 225 lbs and the Powerfin hit 200 lbs thrust. I'm going to play around with the Powerfin prop and lower the rpms and see if the wider blade can put out a bit more thrust at 6000 vs 6500.

About 10 years ago my Son Brandon sold his "Monster" landsailer to some folks in Oregon. Recently they were kind enough to sell the boat back to us so Brandon could enjoy it. So very kind of them. This video is Brandon's first sail in her and he's all smiles !!!!

Charlie was watching the Americas Cup ocean foil boat racing and noticed the boats were running jibes in light air then he had a "brain fart" and thought maybe a jibe would work on his landsailer, He tested it in very light 2 to 5 with puffs to 7mph and the jibe seemed to work pretty good but still needs some tweek'n

You’re not comparing apples to apples. In fact, your comparison is providing no usable or good data whatsoever. I guess, unless you own both of those propellers and you’re trying to decide which one you want to use.

My kill switch is mounted on the J's in a location that it is not easily inadvertently hit but is accessible when still holding the brake toggle.@@davidyoung518

Where did you get the flying helmet, it looks Russian?
It's a Russian WWII tank helmet. I got it years back at an army surplus store for 5 bucks. Now I see them on ebay for over 100. I gave my tank helmet to my Son who flies and he really likes it. I replaced mine with a rugby helmet I found on line which looks similar but made of different material than the tank helmet.

I got the 440 Kawasaki from Jbird.com and the Ivo prop and Powerfin from the manufacturers. I'm really liking the 440 it's a big improvement over the FB Monster engine I had on the Flyke.
That looks like a nice combination of trike and engine. Where did you get your Kawasaki engine and prop? Did you have to do a lot of modifications to mount it?
your goal with a ivo 3 blade 60 inch is to get to 2425 prop rpm, then you are hitting the target established in an old ul article on the kaw engine where they used a 66 inch ivo 2 blade to get to 283 lbs of thrust.
i dont know your redrive ratio so cant say this is feasible when compared to engine rpm and hp
my thrust calculator says you need 2031 prop rpm to make 225 lbs on the 62 inch ivo at 86f my thrust calculator says you need 2115 prop rpm to make 200 lbs on the 59 inch powerfin at 86f
conclusion, larger diameter prop equals more thrust. and. lol

Looking at buying a version 3.2 Trike buggy with the 202 fresh breeze single prop, , but I’m 6’1 265, from a 240 pound pilot that says he had no problem with his size. Any input from an owner of a buggy?
You might be a bit under powered but it also depends on the size wing you fly.
FB Monster prop has rounded tips. Did you mod them?
No I didn't modify the tips it's an older FB Monster prop I think they're using different props these days.

That is bad ass! I have a flypod with the Simonini, i would love to put a 440 on it but I would be happy with the monster. Do you still have yours? I would be interested in purchasing the motor. Im also thinking about putting a larger prop on the Simonini. I see you removed the bottom section. Could you send me pictures of the 440 installation? It looks great!
