When CN 556 was coming off the CN Coronado Subdivision onto the CN Vegreville Subdivision, I noticed the train stopped right as I was leaving. Its last car had unattached from the rest of the train resulting in the train to go into emergency. I had never seen a train stop at this location before so I knew there must have been a problem. On January 2, 2024 I met up with another Edmonton railfan at 149 street on the western side of the city. This spot has been undergoing construction for the last little bit resulting in less traffic and an open parking lot with no hotel anymore!
