WoooW that convergence fixing around the corner must have been an absolute nightmare considering how difficult that is and how much trial on error it will take untill it’s fixed. I through that the convergence process should be easy by simply lining up those 3 color stripes together and that the rest of those color lines will automatically match up as well. Thus not as you have to make sure that each color lines will line up with each other individually from the middle to each corner, wich could be a very difficult laborious boring process, phew🤣 But that rgb modded tv definitely looks cool. And the more crt tv’s getting saved from the trash, the better because i hate to see crt tv’s getting more rarer overtime.

No matter how much you adjust a large CRT, it will always have geometry and convergence issues. If you clean up the edges, the center of the screen will get ugly. If you clean up the center, the edges of the screen will get ugly. It's insane in a way.

Hello. Just got hold of this model. But it has a serious issue and I'm wondering if you might know what is causing it and if it is worth repairing. The issue: when turned on, the picture won't cover the entire screen, and this with lots of wobbling/warping. It's as if it struggling but fails, if you know what I mean?

I have the same screen and when I feed in a Commodore 64 (composite) signal, I have large black bars on the left, right, top and bottom. So I have to check the capacitors, is this right? (or is it because of the 320x200 screen resolution of the C64?)

I have a 29 inch Sony Trinitron from around 2000 with color convergence on the sides. Do you think it has a pot-adjuster to fix the convergence?

Nice monitor and video, thank you. I have a BVM 2000 from the previous generation that is pretty close to the 2010 with less feature but same convergence adjustments and a 1410 which is of course the 14 inch version of the 2010. I really like to get a 2011 or 2012 someday.

$8,000 can be just 1 or 2 sought after Neo Geo AES games. Most MVS titles are fairly affordable, as are Japanese AES titles. It's primarily the US "Dog Tag" AES games that are worth thousands/each.

the flybacks go bad on these because they have a hard live due to poor or worn-out solder joints, a simple reflow can go a long way in increasing the lifespan of these monitors

The reason B&O namend Scart , its because if you have V tape, or Dvd player from B&O you can hide it, and the Tv sends signals through scart to your device.

nice,i have the v66m board it is kind of simular to yours but has the intel i40bx/zx ,south bridge intel 8237eb/,b , i have a p3 667mhz running with 512mb ram , a good power house for win 98 , i think it is from an aptiva 2164 , i ran disk wizard boot disk to partition 500gb hard drive . these oem slot 1 mobos are great, but bios/driver updates next to none existent :( and the extremely limited bios settings are a pain.

Nice - the one I picked up had a similar fault - a trace on the top middle board carrying from memory 115V shorted somehow - maybe due to leaky cap or something falling in the from the top vent slots. I think it may have taken out some other components too. I also need to recap the PSU board and hopefully I'll get it going again one day!

Hi @spudzgames4361! I recently got one of these wonderful pvm-1371QM. I'm a novice so for what i can see it has excellent rendering and beautiful colors; I downloaded 240p suite and I see that the grid is shifted a little to the left. I tried to follow your video, but to be honest I didn't quite understand the steps to fix the horizontal and vertical image calibration. Do i need to use a screw to do the calibration? Could you help me? I'd really need a guide "Adjust CRT geometry for dummies" kind of thing. Is this an operation that you think can be done by a novice or is it better if I avoid causing damage? Thank you very much.

The hum on the Vectrex is actually quite normal and a known issue with all of them. There’s a fairly cheap mod you can get call Buzz Off to fix it.

Sounds silly, but my tv has “smart” “wide” and so on, which setting should I use to edit this to line up? As when I fix one via the service menu it then looks awesome in the other options? Thanks dude great video
