Remember your phone camera. If you think you are being followed, take a picture of the person. They will disappear for real. Or better yet, record them like you are live streaming. Our phones are an important defense item. Bad actors don't want to be recorded.

They can follow you home too. Always check rearview mirrors. Also...I have a clip on my purse that locks it to the cart.

I worked for Costco for 18 years. Just so you know, any of those emergency exit doors have a delayed opening on them, if you push to open them it will not open for at least 20 seconds. So it's not like they can take a child and just run out a door. Hope that helps. Be safe ❤️

Whether this was justified suspicion or not, it's a cautionary tale to ALWAYS be aware of what's going on around you. Especially parking lots. I find myself daydreaming or thinking about what I need to buy or do. Not good. Situational awareness is always in order, no matter what you are doing. Use the gift of fear to your advantage to stay safe!!!

Pay attention to how a situation makes you feel. We have intuition for a reason. If you feel like you are being watched or followed, go to customer service, the front desk, into a larger group of people, go to the police station if you are driving, get help and make your situation known. Keep pepper spray with you. All the time. I was at the gas station 2 weeks ago and had some dude try to climb into my seat in the car, I was in the drivers seat and he tried to get me to scoot over and let him get behind the wheel. No way in hell ladies. I told him go away, let me leave. He wouldn’t. He was up in my door trying to get me to move over. I picked up the pepper spray I keep on my passengers seat and let him know I’ll pepper spray us both if he doesn’t leave now, I yelled it, at a crowded gas station. He left.

Something like this happened to my daughter who was pushing the baby in her cart. She noticed him first and told me, and I texted my son-in-law to come find us right away we were being followed. After the man had followed us down a couple of isles, I turned around and put my hands on my hips and asked him if I could help him with something. He didn't have a chance to answer because right then my son-in-law appeared, and I said this man has been following us. My son-in-law is a BIG dude, and he challenged the man who ran away right quick. We reported the incident to the store security, and pointed him out on the camera recording. These kinds of things will be happening more now, so women, be on your guard!! Don't go anywhere alone!!

Remember, if you think you are being followed home, do not go home. Go to a police or fire station.

When you have this feeling, turn toward the person and take a pic of them. They will most likely move along. Then keep your eyes open. You have ID if you need it.

When I was little, my parents took us on a cruise. I was walking out of O'hare airport in Chicago when I saw a man standing outside and I instantly got evil vibes off of him. I knew inside my soul that he was not a good person. Organized crime comes to mind. Similar thing happened again at a small festival here in town. I was in my mid-20's at the time. A man was working a CD booth and when I walked close to him I got very dark vibes off of his energy--gave me the heebie jeebies. I said "nope," and walked away.

The cold hard truth is that women and children are prey. I'm in New York and I have also been followed several times. I have had men follow me down each aisle then get in line behind me. I know that they were following me. I have had them stop right next to me and pretend to be looking at something on the shelf. One man did this several times in one store. He just happened to be interested in every single thing that I was interested in. What a coincidence. This is common all over the United States. You aren't the first woman who I have seen saying this. Everyone, use caution. Yes, trust your gut, your vibes. If it feels like something is wrong, something is wrong. This could save your life or the life of another woman or a child.

Fear is your friend. There is the probably fictional story of a girl who is waiting for an elevator. When the elevator doors open there is a suspicious man inside but because she doesn't want to look foolish or weak she gets on the last elevator ride of her life. Always follow your gut feelings. When my son was young and just toddling along I would use either a baby backpack to carry him - him strapped in & strapped onto me. Or a colorful child harness clipped to a strap around my wrist. He loved the freedom of not being held, seeing everything over my head, walking with out holding hands, and I enjoyed being hands free while still very safe & secure. Some people gave me dirty looks over the harness, don’t care, it worked well for both he & I, so screw them. He’s 35 and military, he protects his old mama now. 🥰
