I ran across this beer here in Texas and got a six pack of 16 oz tall boys. I definitely will be getting more of this beer it is flavorful and inexpensive.

Not sure if I bought a very old 12 pack of these but they tasted bad. Sure they are cheap but they had a slight taste of peanuts which isn’t for my palate

This seems to be a PA only release. But I love me a Hershey's Porter on occasion, and the Black & Tan is enjoyable year round.

one of two Macro beers i drink. i used to drink awful ice beers and i saw a video about "Grampa Beers" and i got interested and got a tall boy of Miller highlife and Coors... My life hasnt been the same since! Every time i drink a Banquet I get a overwhelming taste of yeast. i always describe that beer as it tastes like liquid bread

The Spiked Dunkin' RTDs are all pretty gross. Even the Harpoon Brewery Dunkin' beers are not good.

This one tastes like cream corn instead of rubbing alcohol. You nailed it homie. The only ice beer that tastes good enough to not hate yourself while drinking it.

Ive tried a lot of beer and i always come back to natural ice. The convenience store near me only has one beer that is sometimes out of stock and its this one. Guess a lot of others like it as well. Personally I like that its not too light but not too strong...Imo it's just right.

JJ, Old German was originally brewed by Queen City Brewing in Cumberland Md. They went under in the mid-70's, and Pittsburgh Brewing acquired the Old German Brand at that point [if you visit 1812 Brewery in Cumberland, they have a nice display case full of vintage Queen City breweriana, including several Old German Bottles]. It's been brewed by the Iron City folks ever since, but I don't believe it's been continuous. In the '80's and '90's, it was definitely marketed as Iron City's budget brand, if that's not being redundant! Over the decades when the topic of "worst beer ever" would come up, I'd constantly hear the name Old German! I'm pretty sure it was gone for a good chunk of the 2000's and 2010's, but came back about 5 or 6 years ago in 12oz, 16oz, and 24oz cans. I think it sells pretty well as a novelty beer now. And just to confuse you, there was also a totally unrelated Old German brand, brewed by Eastern Brewing, in Hammonton NJ.

Never was a big a drinker but ever since i substained some serious injuries I've turned to alcohol as temporary escape. Twisted tea is my go to choice. Trying to try as many flavors as possible. Pinnaple, mango and black cherry are my top 3 flavors.

Old German used to be available here in east Tennessee in the 1970s in 10 oz bottles for 89 cents per six pack.

With all due respect, IC & IC light are better than any Cincy lager. Braxton is cool, but PBC/Iron City is the best mid-micro brewer in the region. And much better than Madtree

I know this short is old now but onetime me and my buddy were flooded in and couldn't leave the house. All we has was bud select 55, because we mindlessly wanted to try it without realizing it's low alcohol content. We also had some vodka but just wanted some beers, so we added a small amount of vodka to one beer and poured it into big ass glasses mixed with another unspiked beer to make it taste a little more normal and we got super wasted and it just tasted like beer lol

Yeah the alcohol is to high. I like regular ice house, but that is gross. You know i feel the same way about dogfish head 120 minute ipa. That shit is terrible. People act like its good because of who brews it, but its awful

Man, you’re recently just hitting a bunch of my favorites. Old German is awesome too. Bummer you didn’t like it as much as other beers. Also, PNC park is really really nice and I’d highly recommend going to a game there, it’s only about 2 hours from where I live

I always thought this was rebranded ic light but I guess not. PNC Park is definitely worth a trip. Make sure you visit Penn Brewery if you go. There's also Southern Tier and Voodoo Brewing right down from the park on the North Shore.

Awesome video. Its definitely become my go-to beer. Sadly its gotten even MORE expensive since this video. Where I'm from, it's nearly $10 for a six pack now. At least 9+ dollars here in Massachusetts for a standard six pack. I still keep on getting it though because of how good it is won't lie. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheers 🍻

JJ, you're drinking the Ballantine XXX Ale here, which was never discontinued. It was the Ballantine IPA which was revived in 2014 [after last appearing in the late '90's], along with a few new ones: Ballantine Brewers Gold Ale, and Ballantine Burton [Christmas Ale]. Unfortunately none of those lasted more than a couple years. The revived IPA was decent, but I'm guessing it turned off cheap beer drinkers [many of whom want nothing to do with IPAs], AND craft beer drinkers [who probably didn't think a Ballantine product could be a "good" IPA], hence its failure

This isn't anywhere in NJ or NYC, maybe only one InBev brewery pumps it out. 30 cans for $15 is cheaper than soda now-a-days. However, 4.2% is a light beer ABV, but the calorie count is higher. Hence the sweetness. Have you reviewed Iron City or I.C. Light?
