Great podcast! I hope the new infrastructure is built more adequate for fires. I know fire damages are not completely avoidable, but possibly built with more protective materials. But I am glad you were able to get back home to your clean air! :) I lived in Okinawa, Japan for 3.5 years, and their infrastructure was built to sustain the rain and typhoon weather. It was less about aesthetic and more about concrete buildings that would sustain high winds and rains! We always felt safe and sound during the typhoons. Also, the earthquakes. Things we know very little of, being a native Texan. I would love to visit Maui to help support the economy! ;)
