Those caterpillars turn into moths. Really beautiful black and red moths. Had alot of them outside my house. They go underground in a chrysalis to pupate and come out after the winter. I think that extra bit adds another level of beauty and symbolism of growth in the face of hardship

When you communicate with those who have passed on, try talking to a family member, like grandparents. For example, ask if your grandfather wore a shirt with blue and white stripes. If the answer is yes, that's how you know it's him. If not, don't dig any further, and shut it down so nothing super scary (a la Poltergeist) tries to get through. Better to be safe than sorry.

What a wonderful video! I bought a copy of Witchcraft today for 5s (25p) in the early 1970's. An interesting book and my first brush with witchcraft.

Good vid nice lesson , Years ago the difference between Wicca and Satanist was mostly explained by the concept that Satanist - only do things that helps or enpowers themselves. While Wiccans - try to do things that helps others, their neighbors, communitys and of course family and friends, guess you could just call it the choice of Selfishness or Philanthropy.

What do you think of this week's format? I've been using a new microphone and it's been much easier getting to sit right in front of it and read from my script, and I really wanted to go for more of an educational feel - but do let me know if you'd like me to revisit the old format where I'm talking to you directly! I'd also like to apologise profusely for not being able to post every Monday as previously promised. I have to admit, the first thing I came up with was "bouquet garni": I'm a *lot* more experienced and comfortable in the kitchen than at the altar! :P

Me being a german I can tell you the Maypole tradition can be found in almost every german town. Usually teen boys decorate a branch of a birch with coloured creped paper and fix / mount it to their crushs' sleeping room window the night before Mayday to express their love - I did it , too. Sometimes you have to either remove a competitor's birch, have to guard yours during the night or even run into another guy and his party with some... fighting, if you are unlucky. Lots of girls woke up with the excitement if they are already in the center of a boy's attention and if.. who was it. The next day - when you wander the streets - you see these fresh birches and the fresh love, it's touching, reminding you of your own youth and the circle of life. The center Maypole with 10s of meters of height, in full glory, is impressive and knowing that this is even of pagan origin for centuries lets you feel how much you are a part of history, heritage and the genes of your forefathers and -mothers.

I would've thought this video silly, but I read it on the cusp of Donald Trump's (supposed) reelection here in the states. His followers are superstitious, volatile, and prone to believe in conspiracies. I never thought we would come to this point in my country. I consider this video good advice now.
