Great idea. Do you cover the holes in winter or just use plywood? I want to do something like this in my side yard but don't want kids tripping on holes when there are no posts in them. Thanks!
Check us out for Bimini Mount on inflatables
Thanks for the links and for sharing the adapter knowledge!
Very well done. Very nice approach. As I was watching the issue with the weight of the panels..... Make the panels smaller? Would be easier to move. 2 years later, how is the gap and overall look holding up. As shown on the video, the fence looks awesome. Thanks for taking time to share your ideas with others.
Man, I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out exactly how I was going to build a removeable privacy fence for an area behind my shop that I don't like looking at from the house, but I need wide access to it for machinery, etc. I was planning on doing something much more difficult and not even close to as good as this. I had no idea they made vinyl post sleeves, this is my solution! Thank you so much for posting! I think I am probably going to over-excavate each post hole by quite a bit and put some washed gravel in the bottom so the sleeves don't fill with water and can drain, but otherwise I am going to copy your model almost 100%. Do you ever have issues with the sleeves holding water and your posts just soaking in it? Did you do something else for drainage of the post holes? Thanks again!
My cousin and I used to go to Rock Springs 60 years ago it was nothing like this!!
How about t just screwing down the post tot he concrete with Simpson tie or something instead of sliding it to the vinyl liner?
Will your compressor completely inflate your raft on one tank of air without turning on? What I'm really asking is can you take a tank full of air at 135psi to a remote place with no electricity and fully inflate your raft?
No. Not even close. I keep my boat mostly inflated (on a trailer). The manufacturer recommends letting some of the air out between uses so that the seams aren't under constant stress. I top it off before I take it out. Topping it off takes 15 minutes or so. And my pancake compressor runs almost constantly.
I think you're better off with the pvc material on the mounts because in case of high winds or a tree branch etc you would rather have the material fail before the vinyl fails or tears. Well done on the upgrades.
Só tem Mário aí
Cool cuz I wanted to Pokemon music |:' |
Thank you i get so much anxiety exploring! You have no idea how valuable your vid is❤
Thru bolt is better. Into your custom mount plate, nor into the pontoon...
do you remember what this 6000 gal cost you
I just got another delivery from them in May 2023 for my new pool. Current pricing: $375 for one truck load of water plus $190 mileage/delivery fee. TOTAL - $565
@@beinghenderson WOW and I thought a $275 quote was expensive
You’re getting ripped off my guy, we charge $350 per 6000 gallon load, if we have to travel far we upcharge a little maybe $375-$425 but typically every load is $350 total. That includes delivery and pumping into the pool. Located in PA
do i reserve to visit the kellypark?
Great idea
Nice park! Well done on the video. Great place to explore. New follower here. Crow✌️
Looks good, but couldn’t you just chain it to a tie off point?
Love this! A question - does the post wobble around at all inside the sleeve? My concern is having the posts 100% stable (zero wobble) as I construct the fence (pickets, etc) on them. Thx!
I'd say about 95% stable. 5% wobble. Definitely not zero wobble though.
@@beinghenderson really appreciate that - and that you gave your estimate in % terms, super helpful.
@@beinghenderson I’m also thinking I’d be able to stuff some shims at the top of the sleeve, to go between the sleeve and the post, to reduce the wobble even further. Just temporary, while constructing the fence on the posts. If you think that’s a misguided idea, I’d love to know. Thx once more.
Anyone been in the cave to the right?
Lol. Wtf👎🏾
how can we buy that valve connector?
This is the one I bought a.co/d/gM1Ze4V
How long did it take you guys to float down the river?
We were snorkeling so we go faster. Floating probably takes about 20 minutes for the first run.
Thank you soooooo much for the detailed video.. The walking part is something that some don't think about but the walking part and the walking conditions are a huge deal for someone like me so thank you
Thanks! Glad I could help.
great job,,clean clear perfect
This was so helpful! Thank you
Just went there today not knowing the previous history of it, beautiful park. That's so sad... Another one of my parks Kelly Park (Moss Park) closed their swimming area a few years ago due to a gator. I grew up at Moss Park and it's sad to no longer enjoy the water with the family :(
Thanks for sharing. Did you experience a lot of raccoons at night? and what about mosquitoes? Just curious.
I've never camped there - only day trips. So I can't say what goes on at night....
Why not just install the panels to the post with long GRK screws. Cordless drill can have a panel down in about a minute. Then you can take your time and just take one post out at a time by itself.
That's a very good idea
Great!
I have a Newport 12.6 Ft, and I need it a Bimini so I just order one thru Amazon, thanks to you and your information, so I hope that will fit on my inflatable, so thank you so much. and please have a good day.
Magnifico me encantan tus vídeos. Los espero cada semana.
links are all going to 1 product. Interested in the Scotty mount
Not sure how the links got hosed up. Here's the Scotty mount I used. Scotty #341-BK Glue-On Pad For Inflatable Boats (Black) a.co/5eI5bJg
The gray ones I used have been discontinued.
I was thinking about setting the posts closer maybe 4 feet so the fence panels are lighter. If you were to do it over would you build shorter panels? Do you see any drawback in shorter panels?
I'd definitely put the posts closer together if I did it again. I was just guessing how much weight I could handle. I guessed incorrectly. Only drawback I can think of is extra labor & materials. Structurally I think it would be even stronger with more 4x4 posts.
Wow looks like fun
Hi you should screw In 4 eye bolts on each panel then put 2 hooks on each post for one panel it’s a lot lighter and you only have to lift up a couple inches then remove your post. I have this system and I use a panel everyday to get to a back field. Lag eye bolts and hooks
Awesome video, I never built a privacy fence for my backyard because I needed to provide access to my septic tank every 4 years. So glad I found your video😄
The spring looks amazing 😎
Cool, thanks for the ideas. Nice looking boat!
Thanks! I'm planning to make a video showing the overall layout (once I'm done tweaking it).
Did you have to rough up the outside of the sleeve for the concrete to stick to it?
It's not necessary for this application. The wooden post slides easily in and out of the sleeve. There's no force being applied to the sleeve. It just sits there.
I have lived here for 30 yrs, and this is still my most favorite spot in Fl. It's peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, the water is invigorating, especially when it's 100 out, it's like a little slice of heaven, right here on earth. Better than any theme park
Is there a lot of gators?
I've never seen a gator there myself. I hear they'll wander into the park occasionally.
Awesome video! We are going for our first time in a few weeks and this was really helpful 😀
How about opening it like a door?
To be big enough for a truck, the gate would be structurally unsound.
How do y’all keep your floaters from blowing? We are in AZ and these floats are always in the house at night or in the wind. Drives me crazy. Bunny cords make them swell or slow leak.
Awesome idea
Wow , I remember visiting this park when I was a kid during the summer , GOOD TIMES 😉
Do you possibly have a drawing of all the measurements please
Do you possibly have a drawing with all the measurements. This has got to be my first project
Sorry, I don't have drawings. I just sort of figured it out as I was building it.
is it possible to go for a hike and then go to the springs after? I would like to do a hike first but am afraid that the hike location and the spring parking is separate and they wouldn't let my car in after hiking.
they have a boardwalk that goes back some, and there are small dirt paths off of the boardwalk as well
