Indiana is an amazing place! This channel will help you to learn about some of the highlights of our state. Here you will find information on Indiana's State Parks, State Historical Sites, museums, attractions and many places you can visit. This channel is designed for people who have never been to Indiana. Many Americans see Indiana as being a "flyover state" and not a place they should explore. This channel will help people who aren't from Indiana see that there is much natural beauty here, rich history and fun things to do, making this state a worthwhile vacation destination. People who live here in Indiana will discover all kinds of interesting things to see and do.

The Indiana Dunes make Indiana a truly amazing place! This is my fourth video highlighting the Indiana Dunes, a true state treasure. In this video we will hike on of the most beautiful trails in all of Northern Indiana, the Paul H. Douglas Trail near Gary, Indiana.
This trail takes the visitor through a variety of eco-systems. We will travel through bogs, hardwood forests, open fields, around ponds and finally the sandy dunes to the shore of Lake Michigan.
This hiking is wonderful! It is one of my personal favorites and I certainly hope that this video will inspire you to visit this park of Amazing Indiana.

My 13th cousin, Quaker Abolitionist Levi Coffin.Nice to know this.My husband and I were from Maryland, and owned an old 3 story house well over 125 yrs old we were trying to renovate, that my father in law noticed had once likely hid slaves on the top floor leading to a hidden brick walled section on top the 4th fl. attic. going north.He recognized it because he was from Massachusetts and saw them before as a painter.

Mounds is a nice spot, but I believe in to be a fraud. The reason there was no evidence of the builders, and the dense forest make it hard to see the sun at noon let alone a setting star.
Okay, that's my first time to SEE a fried oreo, I've heard of them before. Very surprised by how rotund it was, I think I imagined the breading to be closer into the oreo- It looks like a beignet with an oreo inside. Thanks Fred for eating it, so now I don't have to!

Wooooh- that's a heck of a bunch of stairs! I'm thinking everyone should be fully aware of their personal heart risks before attempting! So did all those folks at the beach do the stairs or is there another way to the beach that involves a parking lot? Just wondering, don't interrupt your Iceland adventures to respond.

Are there any costs involved with either the state park or the national park areas?
Yes, there is a fee for the State Park. There is also a parking fee at West Beach in the National Park area.
