I was born and raised in Austin! I’d like to be able to enjoy Austin. But Thry built all thise Lego buildings on the corners of Austin. I like it when you could see the Capitol. Now you can’t. Our Capitol is more beautiful than any other Capitol anywhere else in the USA. But they messed it all up putting all those huge buildings all over so you can’t see it anymore.

I never understood what was supposed to be impressive about Jesus in the wilderness. If he created or participated in creating everything who cares that he did not accept the devils offer? That's like if my 3 year told me to do what he says and he will give me something I already own. Same thing applies for his crucifixion. There is nothing impressive about a god (demi-god) dying. A being that existed since the beginning of time, one with god, performed a variety of miracles, has advanced knowledge of the future and afterlife, had a "transfiguration moment" etc. Job had none of this when he was being tried. Abraham had none of this when he was supposed to offer his son. David did not have this when he faced Goliath. There is nothing impressive nor faith involved to passing a test that you already have the knowledge of or participated in creating.

If Jesus is God, how could He possibly be tested or tempted by anyone or anything?

As I continuously tell immigrants to this fair city, "When you come, give back constantly. Volunteer, do favors, pick up after others, go to public meetings, etc, while you bike, dance, learn, and adventure. Do not come to suck all the goodness out! My children cleaned cages and fostered dogs. They helped a neighbor child make a suprise quilt for her mama. In exchange for a shortcut to the mall, the neighbors cleaned the field along the path. The school bus dropped neighbor kids with mall jobs with me to take them to it. And I did a picked up when mall closed. There's lots of friends and fun to be had.Open your eyes and hearts for a full, frustrating at times, joyful life if you come to Austin. Just don't analyze and critique sitting with your arms folded...jeez

From San Antonio moved to Austin 12 years ago for a work promotion. I really enjoyed it then. Don't care for it so much especially the housing expansions and traffic. I retire in 2 years and leaving LA Austin.
