Opening night of their tour…
Happy anniversary to Tommy!
Tearing Up from all the Memories from my Youth !!!~
Saw this in Toronto in October. So good. I cried ...........
You can tell when a group is pressing. They add an orchestra. and God knows what else. High school kids?
and usually to the positive
All for one one for all
Danke für blackbird. Lg from Germany Ellen 🥰✌you are going to ringo also?
Yes!! In late June is Ringo…I’m going to that show

Thank you!!! We were in the pit too❤️❤️
Awesome…right behind you in the couches!

Scott, nice video, but it's Letting Go.
Yes, thanks… I fixed it 🤘
AWESOME VIDEOS! We were there too! However you posted LETTING GO as CAN'T BUY ME LOVE - did you film the opening with that song and Junior's Farm? Thanks for sharing all!
It was a great show! Glad you were there, too!…. Thanks for letting me know the mistake I made.. I did a few vids at once and I knew I was going to screw up the songs.. lol… I’ll fix them later when I have time..
One of the greatest bands ever.....Alwyas rocks
It was a great show, a few senior moments and odd mixes, but still amazing. Won’t be too many more opportunities….I flew down from NC for this!
I am a who freak this is the first time I have to say this sounds like SHIT. I have seen the who 5 TIME'S AND I don't like the sound with the orchestra. I have seen them with an orchestra in Philadelphia it was quadrophenia album. I think it was 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF QUADROPHENIA. And it was fucking great. Maybe it's just this orchestra that sucks.
I’ve seen The Who many times as well…the last couple were with an orchestra. However, this time the arrangements and the overbearing orchestra ruined the show…I feel it was way to much orchestra this time…never mind their voices sounding really good, but of course not like before…they even forget the words in some tunes! Sucks gettin old, but I’ll take these guys and others willing to keep playing all these years…if they’re on stage, I’m finding a ticket..lol
@@scott7474 I believe it was that orchestra that didn't sound good. And Roger and Pete need to use a monitor with the lyrics. It's what Bruce Springsteen does if you are into Bruce watch him on stage. Looks like he's got his eyes closed he's looking down at a monitor as he is singing singing. Being old does suck I can't remember SHIT anymore. And having to remember hundreds of words in hundreds of songs. Not going to happen and they are up in their 70s.
Roger plays a mean dual tambourine.
It wasn’t great, but it was live music and a great time hanging out
Shit PURE SHIT Um ....WHY?
Oooh, tell us more, enlightened one. Why are you even on here?
Brings back memories, but I have to say the audio mix is rather bad in this video. I understand the poor general quality (live sound) but if this is what the audience is hearing, I'd be pissed because the ticket price was out in left field.
I saw them in Austin, the sound was great. Eventually, a soundboard quality recording will surface. We’re glad we went 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@michaelkenna2024 ... I say that's a remote possibility.... with REMOTE being the key word. Just think of how few live shows have been made available over the last 50+ years. (yeah, not too many)
Bruv this is a phone mic not what the audience heard
@@davidtm98 ... if you read my comment again, I made a distinction between sound quality and the music mix. Obviously the quality of a hand held device will be poor.
@@rupe53 yeah i know i just forgot to edit my comment
The Who faz parte da minha vida, tive a honra de vê-los no Brasil, amo essa banda. Pete, Roger, John e Keith para sempre!
You want to hear "The Who" live ? Put on the live album 'Live At Leeds" and crank it up. That was The Who. With Keith Moon on drums and John Entwistle on bass. Back then they could do blistering live versions of most songs on 'Tommy' with just the 4 of them that would knock your socks off. They were arguably the greatest live rock band at the time with maybe the exception of Led Zeppelin. As much respect as I have for Pete Townsend...he should have never allowed this tired sounding over orchestrated show on the road. This proves you really can be too old to rock n' roll. Pete...Roger...put the guitars and microphones on the shelf and take your millions and visit the kids and grandkids while you still can.
A great album! My fav along with the classic Tommy album
saw them play as a 4 piece band many times about 50+ years ago. (Tommy Tour) Interesting to hear them pull it off without a full orchestra.
I disagree. I think the orchestra really added to both the Tommy and Quadrophenia sections. And when I saw them recently in DC, they sounded great.
I guess the same can be said about plant . Singing lullabies and re-hashed zep oldies 🙄
go to bed. gramps
Time to call it a day guys.
They're gonna keep playing till they die!
ok, and can you say you'd be able to belt out songs when you're 78? Didn't think so.
@@paulb1988 Roger sounds like someone’s dad on the karaoke machine. Embarrassing.
Not very good......
They have been better…too much orchestra over the rock band…
@@scott7474 THE WHO "were" the Greatest rock and roll band in the World.....now they need to retire. This was pretty sad to watch.....I wouldn;t be surprised if they cut this tour short..........and it definitely will be the last.
@@scott7474 They also played with an orchestra in 1982 on their "Who's LAST Tour" HaHa. and it was pretty bad that time also. The orchestra deal worked for Deep Purple but NOT THE WHO....
@@scott7474that might be a conscious effort. First night of tour in Jacksonville Zak was slamming. Roger missed coming in on 2nd verse of “Who are You” so Pete and the other 35 musicians stop. Before starting the song over Daltry complained “All I hear are drums.” The same thing another night on “I Can See For Miles”.
Have you heard the Overture to Tommy ? This is very good. Plus it’s recorded on a phone held up in the air, 15 rows back surrounded by drunks.
