Uduvil Girls' College was founded in 1824 by Mrs. Harriet L. Winslow, an American missionary, with a view to providing education for females. It was the first boarding school for girls in South East Asia.

The Senior Athletic Meet of Uduvil Girls' College was held on Friday 3rd May. The Chief Guest was Lt Col.R.H.N.P. Rathnweera, Commanding Officer of the 20th Battalion of the National Cadet Corps.
