I'm rewatching this Campaign from the beginning so I can watch it all the way through and finally potentially catch up, and the zoom chat about Brian will never not be funny 😂😂😂

Discovered the series in mid 2023. Took me like a month to finish. A fun player dynamic. Definitely recommend watching all the way. Charming as he is Artemis got me hooked on quickly but if I had to pick a fav I would Zuzu's Penny. Such a refreshing take on a DnD character.

I think that it's interesting that you put rogue in A tier but ranger in D tier. Rangers can be just as good, if not better than rogue in almost every scenario. Rangers have spells, which adds so much utility and versatility. Goodberry isn't just a good food source for the party, but it's also a great healing spell. Rangers can also cast pass without trace, making them way better at stealth than rogues. Pass without trace can be party-wide, making the whole party good at stealth. Rangers also make better use of feats with the ability to make more than one shot a turn. A gloom stalker ranger with crossbow expert and sharpshooter can make 4 attacks at level 5, all with a potential +10 to damage per hit on top of the base damage. Tasha's did a lot for rangers to make them even more viable. Favored Foe gives rangers a budget hunter's mark. Deft explorer gives expertise and increased mobility, and Primal Awareness gives extra known spells, which is always nice. Nature's Veil gives you a bonus action invisibility for a turn a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, which is an insane ability to get at level 10! I think you should definitely reconsider rangers, their spell list is amazing, their abilities are very useful thanks to Tasha's, and their subclasses have some real diamonds in the rough, like gloom stalker, drakewarden and fey wanderer. I think rangers overall are A tier; not the best, but way more deserving of D tier

A lot of these gradings have too much to do with homebrew. A wizard's spell list is zero if his book gets burned, and a ranger's abilities are homebrewed out of existence. My campaign's ranger has plenty to do

The drunken monk is fun because they can get in hit and get out but I agree they are very underpowered. I have homebrewed having unarmed fighting as a 1st level feature to go with unarmed defense. That gives them 1d8 damage unarmed. This helps them be a little more viable at low levels.

So I’ve recently played a way of the long death monk in a high level campaign and absolutely agree at low level they feel like they do a lot but really don’t. Higher level being able to die and not really die is broken. Also haven’t played it yet but the way of mercy monk seems very ridiculously versatile. Being able to damage and heal in the same turn seems like an amazing utility character.

So I’m a new fan, literally searched dnd podcasts on Spotify and found you guys. Since yesterday I’ve Listened in the car, at work, on runs. Loving all the action so far keen to stay along for the ride

Currently playing a melee Horizon Walker Ranger with dueling fighting style, but I absolutely agree that ranger should be checked out again for rebalance when 5.5 or 6th edition comes out

Awwwww, this was so fun to watch and see everyone's reflections on this incredible campaign so far! Thank you to Ben for creating such an amazing, fleshed-out story and thank you to everyone for always bringing such great energy and creativity to the table. It has been a pleasure and I'm so excited to see where we go next. :) Also, I CANNOT believe that Eva was the only one to bring up the midwinter ball as her favorite social encounter -- y'all should be ASHAMED!

To Artemis: the sword of Oikos is a powerful one. Although it could not be as powerful as the sword of Pleiades! Loved the escape from the police. Very creative, gang!

Personally, I think the most underrated NPC throughout the campaign was Orly. He was so amazing and unique and so loyal to M9 throughout a significant portion of the campaign! Also, I am fully expecting you all to reach the heights of Critical Role! They didn't expect to get where they are now so you never know! Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm only around episode 50 of campaign 1 but watched all of campaign 2, and definitely the Briarwood Arc in the first campaign was amazing! I agree that it has definitely ramped up since then!
