At …. 175k i’d never lost oil between oil changes ….. i alway ck my oil level right after oil change … i got busy doing something and didnt ck oil level after one oil change till a couple thousand miles later …. Noticed it was about half a quart over ….. thats also when my timing cover and one valve cover started seeping ….. did the dealership do this by accident or on purpose? We will never know…., so ck oil carefully …. Often … especially after each oil change. I didn’t just one time …. Fortunately …. So far just losing about a quarter quart between oil changes … will try a specialty product to try tonstop seepage before it becomes s leak

That intake and EGR valve was clean! I'm curious about how many miles it had on it. I have the same LLY Duramax and have been concerned of late about the EGR system getting plugged up. What is your personal experience regarding these intakes getting plugged up? Thanks in advance for any input!!

I’ve got a 2016 6.7 and just got this code, I’m a little mechanically inclined and want to order one from city lights. I just spent $6000 having my 68rfe transmission rebuilt last week and now this week I have this.

That valve saved me big time! While I was having an Air Dog fuel filter system installed I decided to have this valve installed and when the shop was test driving my truck the CP4 went out!

While helpful it's only somewhat informative. More than half of the time you're working out of the frame of the camera and for alot of the other time you are working down in some lower area that is not visable or a body part (arm, chest, head, etc.) is blocking the view. Consider moving the camera around as you progress around the engine bay so people can see what is going on. And whatever is running in the background (engine, fan ?) makes it hard to hear what is being said much of the time.

Good video. With as close as that lever was getting to the other line on the turbo, I wonder if it was just built up with soot on the inside since you mentioned it was getting easier. I'd almost be curious to put an actuator and then run it up the highway with the exhaust brake on full and constantly let off the throttle, so the exhaust brake engages. Maybe it would clean/burn some of the soot off. I don't know, just a thought.

You cant even see what the hell you are doing because you sped up the video way to fast. Its so fast it makes this video useless

3:30 That harmonic balancer is bolted on extremely tight and may have loctite on the bolt because that crankshaft doesn't have a normal keyway but a couple of small pins instead. Those pins are notorious for shearing off causing the balancer to spin.

Great video, Drew! I'm replacing my 9th injector at the moment (or at least I'm trying to). However, I can't get the connector off the injector. No problem with the locking tab, but I can't figure out how to get the connector off the injector. I "pushed" where I think you said you pushed (and nothing happened), but you also said you didn't like to push there because it breaks sometimes. So I didn't push too hard. Then you were able to release the connector using the "reach around" method (not normally how I'd use the ol' reach around but....). I couldn't see what you did when you "reached around" and popped the connector off. What did you do with your pick to make the connector pop off? I'm embarrassed to ask, but I really need to put my new injector on so I can get a regen done - I was almost to automatic regen level (for me, it's around 42 grams of soot when the regen starts) when the P0420 DTC popped up, so I can't drive around until I get the new injector installed. I'm hoping that will allow me to go through a normal regen process. I look forward to your helpful insight! Thanks again for the video!

I wish I could afford to replace my injectors but the Biden Administration has made impossible to buyOEM parts for my 6.0 power stroke so I had to rebuild them.

I just got done doing this, let it get to operating temp and now it sets off the engine fan anything more than idle. Let it run with the heater going as well and temp gauge sits right at 210 or just over. Waiting to cool down to see if that helps. Any more insight into something i may have done wrong?

Thank you for the brief lesson. I had to replace the resistor along with wiring a new connector for the resistor because it burned. Now I have AC again.

I have a 2012 F250 6.7. 300,000 miles. Only use Rotella and regularly change my oil and fuel filters. One day I decided to take it it to a take 5 to service it because I was too busy and they changed the oil and fuel filters. Later that evening the truck started to shutter at low speeds 0-20mph. I thought heck keep driving it. Could be the fuel has to cycle. It’s my first diesel. Btw… anyways so at this point I thought it was a fuel system issue. Thought the worst and assumed it was the CP4. After taking the upper and lower intake manifolds off I discovered no metal shavings on the little valve above the CP4. So thank goodness its not that. But now all im getting is crank no start. I really dont have the money to get it diagnosed/fixed right now. But the codes I got were P0193, P0183, P0107, P0198, P0118, & P007D and they all say Pending. Im also using a INNOVA 3100 scanner tool. Do you know what this might be?

I have an 05' Yukon Denali XL. Im replacing mine also. What is the purpose of the black connector that errects from the side of the discharge hose? This specific hose is a special order for that reason it seems

Awesome video, Drew. Quick question: I hear that the EGR valve and oil cooler start to have their seal fail at this mileage too. Have you or do you have plans to service that? I have 2015 Q7 TDI with 89,000 and was wondering about it as well. You know, to do it proactively before it starts leaking coolant.
