In 2021 my Dad was killed by a shark. Though the real tragedy wasn't his death, but the loss of his life. His nick name was Skidders, he was a surfer, pilot and friend to many. In 2023 I decided to honor his life and memory through creating this channel. So this is Skidders Kid, travelling and flying around the world just as he did, and pursuing my passion in film as he would have wanted.

When someone dies it takes something from you and creates something else. That is the shadow of grief. I've learnt the most powerful way to heal is holding the hand of someone who understands your pain.

Now a shark attack is as rare as a way online to grieve.

Thats why this channel is going to evolve into a place where people who have lost someone can come to. I'm going to create videos where through a weekly themed topic this community can share stories of their passed loved ones.

I know this would have helped me. I hope it can help anyone else who has suffered a loss.
