Cheeee!! Too bad my uncles and grandpa aren’t in this but I don’t think anyone in my family was in the nfl during the 80’s… this is still cool to see tho.
Where's Sacred Hearts Academy and St. Louis?
Omg I went to school with Glen 😂
Wow!! Thanks for sharing this!! I am a 1985 Grad and I had a VHS recording of this, but had to dispose of it as it continued mold. So I am so glad to see it!!
Rest in peace Wags
I hope someone can dig up the '74 game! Any or all of that '74 and '75 season games. I would love to Price and Birdsong & Co. again
What happened to the color?
'84 McKinley grad here. I was at this sitting in the grass area. Better days, Better times, Better life. If I only had a time machine, I'd go back and never return.
I don't blame you brotha, I feel exactly the same San Diego CA and Tijuana Mexico was my stopping grounds!! I came and went freely... those days are long gone😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢!!
Eh, aloha mai! Dis 1989 BYU vs Hawaii Football Radio Broadcast, das one classic, yeah? I remember listening to dis game wen I was growing up in Hawaii, and it was one of da most exciting games of da season. Hawaii and BYU, dey always stay have one fierce rivalry, and dis game was no exception. Da energy and excitement in da stadium, it was palpable, and da radio broadcasters, dey really knew how to bring da game to life for da listeners at home. It's amazing how dis game still holds up after all these years, and it's a testament to da talent and passion of both teams. Mahalo nui loa for sharing dis piece of Hawaii's sports history, cuz, it really brings back some good memories!
Eh, howzit! Dis video of da 1985 Brown Bags to Stardom Hawaii, das one trip down memory lane, brah! I remember watchin' dis show wen I was growing up in Hawaii, and it was so cool to see all da talented kids from around the state performing on TV. It was a chance for ordinary kids to shine and show off their skills, and it was always exciting to see who would come out on top. Brown Bags to Stardom was one of da kind, and it brought a lot of joy and entertainment to Hawaii's people. Mahalo for sharing dis video, cuz, it really brought back some good memories!
Graduated '85. Watching this makes me smile 🤙 mahalo

Great memories....when Rainbow Football was exciting!!!!
... the whole performance from 'Waialua Dance Company' is missing. WTF
Thank you for posting this!! Do you know the specific date of this Prep Bowl in November 1982? I want to find a Hawaii Star-Bulletin sports page with a headline! Mahalo for your kokua 🤙🌺
Libtards today would get all pissed off at Andy Bumatai's segment bitching like a bunch of morons saying it's racist. What a fricken joke liberals are.
ANDYS BMATAI'S I Love it and Today would be considered to much, back when Hawaii made fun of everybody! Mahalo nut Andy Bumatai <3
Wow! Nice to hear this! I was at the game and only remember the Leahy/Blangiardi call as we were not radio listeners during the game. You wouldn't happen to have the radio call of this past year's Hawaii Bowl UH-BYU game would you? Thanks for putting this together!
#12 DB Verlon Redd #RIP
T. Redd perfect timing uncle cause I was up watching film since it’s the NFL draft now I get to watch this :)
Found game footage- Go to 1981 Week 11 vs BYU
A great time to a true era that I was privilege playing & living as a Rainbow Warrior. Tomey football back then was an amazing experience with all local and mainland athletes playing for one another among the greatest fans who truly love Hawaii athletics!
I've seen Detmer absolutely STINK up the place several times when BYU was blown out. The committees weren't justified awarding him the Heisman.
Mechanical Masters ha ha. I went to school with those guys. They were Class of ‘85, I was ‘86. Also, Todd Apo in that clip with Peter Daniels in the SPC (Student Production Center) in Midkiff Learning Center at Kamehameha.
Rest In Peace, Coach Tomey. A leader and grower of men, first. Football coach, second.
Ken Niumatalolo is now the head coach at Navy and has done a great job over there.
@RainbowWarriors808, by chance, do you have the radio broadcast for the UH vs. Notre Dame game @ 1991?
I miss throwing rolled up newspaper after a TD. Good times! GO BOWS!
Some of the best memories in my life!
I went to school with Jerry Coffee that year, often wondered whatever happened to him.
I wanna hear the sounds.
Did I just see Al in the Beginning?
I wonder what Alice did with all that concrete.... could have probably built the rail system off of it
Out of all great players that came out of UH, Jesse Sapolu was the best in my opinion. He also changed positions while playing with the 49ers.
Thank you soooo much for taping and posting!!! I was blessed to be on this team and to get my ring 20 years later!: www.hawaiireporter.com/hawaii-high-school-football-player-gets-cherished-champion-ring-20-years-later/123. PAC-5 Hawaii State Prep Bowl Champs!!! Cheeeeeeehooooo!!!
The woman in the commercial at the very beginning has great tits.

The talent that came out of these shows were UNREAL! Kapena, Na Leo, Tia Carrere, Glenn Medeiros, Princess Ilona..cannot compare nowadays. Mahalo for the memories!
WOW! Blast from the past! I'm a proud Kalani Falcon, but I represented Kaiser HS that year along with my cousin Kawehi Kekauoha, Danny Kennedy and John Bariquatro Jr. What an awesome senior year that was! Thanks for posting RW808! :)
