Just beating on a dummy with my Emberquake. Because it is a dummy, Meteor Strike from the Smithereen Legendary mace, which procs on kill, will never proc.

#cookiecutterbuild Emberquake all damn day! Just enjoy dropping Meteors with Smithereen hammer. I really want to use two of them for a 50% proc, but the proc is on kill, which imho limits the true usefulness of Meteor Strike. Hence, so hard to move off of Hammer of Retribution with its Glacial Spike proc. But once I get a Rambren Skull (60% Crit Damage) and a Skull of Whorlbarb (10% Crit Chance...

I added a couple more enchantments to my Smithereen (Vitality, ew!) and Hammer of Retribution. IIRC, the most impactful new enchantment is the added Dex. Running low on cash, so when I build up my funds, I will look to re-roll to go for a crit enchantment or two. Enjoy!

Gear is starting to get end-game ready (i.e., going to NG and beyond) cuz I finally rolled Borris in Crow's Pass. Hey @lamontpitt37! Check out this updated build guide, d4builds.gg/builds/6d2660a1-d4f7-456d-a772-3e4b00a80a62/?var=0! I got outta the HotA game and you'll see I have an empty skill slot. Also, I swapped out from a 2H Sword to a 2H Axe, and went to Flay over Lunging Strike. Flay just looks sweet with a 2H Axe! Hope this helps, but LMK! I wanted to check out your build but you’re really hard to hear. Maybe tweak the audio balance next time so the game is a bit quieter and your voice is a bit louder. Built a HotA Barb and then found the Hellhammer… def gonna be testing it out.
Congrats on dropping a HELLHammer! And thanks for the feedback - the next time I record any commentary, I will work on fixing the audio balance. Get Tibault's Will from Duriel and try alternating casting Charge + Upheaval. Every Charge will generate enough Fury for 1 Upheaval, you will keep Berserking up 100%, you will keep Tib's 40% damage bonus up 100%, and Charge will trigger Furious Upheaval.
@Professor-Slothmaster Sounds like a plan! I do have Tibault's Will, but liked the +4 ranks of Charge on my Legguards and worry about Charge downtime. But I will definitely give this a shot; swap out to Tib's and swap Violent to Furious Upheaval. Thanks!!

Thanks! Yup, I definitely favor the controller - even makes salvaging legendaries as easy as a double-tap; can’t do that with kbm. Took me some BITI farming, and got this as my 2nd Hellhammer, with pretty nice rolls. Hope you drop a better one, would love to see your HH gameplay!

Nice job getting the hellhammer. I was EXTREMELY lucky with mine. After a tough battle with the beast on ice, I got the hellhammer first try. I was even more thrilled when it gave me plus 6 ranks.
