Just a nerd making things using lasers!
Recently I purchased an OMTech 50W Blue and Grey CO2 laser cutter / engraver and have been creating things I want to learn how best to use this machine. By accident, I ended up finding a niche market for some of my items and am selling those items on Etsy. Wasn't the goal but I've had a lot of fun and people seem to like what i make and sell.

@@NerdyForge Ty man! I'm playing there as "Lingrad the Brave", "Lingrad the Traveller", and just "Lingrad"! Whatcha did a pretty decent job!
My local tech wants to charge 300 to replace all the fans. I have had the computer for 6 years and 1 of the GPU fans is going out/failing. Is that a bad price and they say they can get certified parts or should I buy the parts and install myself?
Not sure where they are getting their parts as they are no longer available by Sager. I can find third party parts all over ebay with the correct part numbers ranging in price from $50-70 for the GPU fans and $30-40 for the CPU fan. Not sure they are "certified" parts but look very similar to factory design. As for the cost, if it's $300 USD including parts, then yeah that's a fair price. The fans can be replaced without replacing the heat sinks but it does add to the time factor in the repair. Personally, if you're not comfortable doing the repair and the local tech to you offers a warranty, I'd say pay the $300 and have your laptop working again. However, if you are confident you can do the work yourself, like I would be myself obviously, then order your own parts and refer to my video as a guide.
Thanks for all the info and quick response. Yes they offer a warranty so I may just have them do it then since the parts are probably worn out. 👍
@@paterson90 Yeah, if they offer a warranty and the price includes the parts, I say go that route. These laptops are still very viable for today's games and programs. Worth keeping them going.
@NerdyForge agreed, and I think i got them to lower the price, and they are doing a deep clean on it. Computer holds up very well today even with new games.
Hey man what happened to ur Mechwarrior 2 pcem video? i lost my stuff and need a guide how to set it all up again and ur guide was the best and it had allthe links to everything needed to get it up and running
Sadly, RUclips removed the video because it went against their Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. I never got a definitive answer as to what exactly it was but I suspect the part where I link to the Mechwarrior 2 ISO or possible the Windows 98 stuff.
@@NerdyForge Damn. thanks for the reply tho
Does Macrium stay running in the background? Or do I need to open it every day? Will it boot up automatically when PC turns on? Thanks
If you installed it and setup a schedule, then it uses Windows Task Scheduler to run at the times you scheduled it to run. If you did not setup a schedule, then you would have to manually run the program each time you wanted a backup. Hope this helps.
amen brother
Thank you so much this helped me a lot!
I have even less experience with Linux, I probably would have given up after the first try too. Maybe now I’ll give it a shot.
Very helpful. Thanks
I really appreciate your comment on my video telling me about the setting, and this video going into more depth on this new-to-me process! Those pieces of art on your table are amazing!
Glad to help and thank you! I just figured a video might help others as well.
Sorry but I missed the few steps prior to the beginning of your video. Do I need a separate device to launch macrium since I plan on overwriting the macrium already installed on my target drive .
Tree give you level 8 buff..lol but u rip on the server.....
Valid point even a year later. I mean, why wouldn't I want to be running around town constantly being buffed over and over and over. Is that tree still there in town? If so I will happily log in and apologize to the tree, I'm sure it misses buffing me.
some of the quest like pincer don't have level restriction if u don't use the hub.. go direct like the redspiral and green. there is 3 pincer ports no level restrictions
Wow, back when I tried this server a year ago the owner/operator was very adamant everything was on hard mode and nothing was to be easy mode like all the other servers. When did that change?
i don't think it ever change i been playing from 1999 until game close down..
I hope to win the gaming PC for my family. We're facing financial difficulties, and owning a PC is beyond our means. This giveaway would mean the world to us. Thank you for the opportunity.
Hm my asus strix is on zero rpm and its like 45 to 50....and when it ramps up to 1200/1300 rpm temps are like 60/65 max even in benchmarks....maybe i got lucky ....and pls undervolt that gpu :)
Let me know how it goes good luck and I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up hang in there buddy better days ahead...😊
I plan on posting another video or more. I appreciate the support. It's not a matter of not being able to buy another GPU. It's a matter of holding them accountable to uphold their warranty. What I will say right now is, I took matters a bit up the chain and it "seems" like they are trying to resolve this with me. But some of their correspondence is leading me to believe it might not be a good ending overall.
I can’t wait to see what this raises!!
Same. Every year it's always a wonder on how much crafters items raise in the auctions.
I love the purple! The LEDs really bring it to life.
Thank you! That was the intended goal to have the LED's add that "I'm real" detail.
That’s sick
Thank you!
This is awesome
Thank you!
hello sir ❣
Hello 😊
I think with a little more editing / cuts, and better audio you are destined to go somewhere, very cool and entertaining!
Well, thank you very much. I am working on the edits and cuts. I do have a better microphone but haven't used it much and probably should have used it for this video. The room echos to much as well but it's the best designed room I have to show off the computer. I appreciate the positive feedback.
THIS IS THE COOLEST THING IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE HOLY MAC'N CHEESE
I wouldn't say it ranks up there with Holy Mac'n Cheese but, I really do thank you very much for the compliment. Sadly, now I'm craving Mac'n Cheese.
Nice build man
Thank you!
damnnnn.....that thing look so cool and pack a punch in there too .love to have something like that .vary cool computer man
Thank you! It was a long but fun build. I don't know when my crafted item will be auctioned off but you can enter to win the Crying Obsidian Gaming PC through DesertBus which starts, Saturday November 11th, 2023 at 2PM Pacific Time. The DB team will eventually list my item on their website along with an expected day and time for when its auction starts.
That. Is. So. COOL!
A newbie to Macrium and your video explains it quite clearly. I used Acronis and have set it up to run 2 sets of backup one after the other automatically. Creating my windows OS to an SSD inside my PC and the same image to an external usb drive (a backup of a backup - paranoid of redoing a whole new setup if PC crashes). In Acronis, after i start the 1st backup, i wait for 1 min and then start the 2nd backup and the 2nd backup shows Queued. After the 1st backup is done validating, it will start the queued backup, validates and shuts down my PC when backup i is done. Can this be done in Macrium backup, if yes, is there a documentation on this. Thank you.
I thought about doing this with micro atx but only problem i might have is cooling. But this is a amazing
I feared overheating as well but it remains perfectly cool. I think the highest it reaches is 65C. Granted, there's no GPU to make things even warmer inside. If you do build one for yourself and want a GPU, make it a bit bigger than I did with enough room at the bottom for two 120mm fans at minimum. Also, I could have saved space with an ITX PSU instead of the ATX sized one I used. If you check out my Minecraft Crying Obsidian PC build you will see the PSU I used there. Corsair SF600 I believe which is almost half the size and still fully modular.
This is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice build !!! much love from Indonesia ❤
Thank you very much. Your video helped me tremendously. I had the cpu fan problem that you mentioned. Sager no longer carries this part so I had to buy it third party.
THANKS! The screws under the keyboard were the trick.
Hlw bro how can i download this world?
seed?
I am looking at installing this again. I am looking for a server that has tuskers enabled. out of all that game that is what I remembered the most. I used to run them olthoi and tusker dungeons daily. I ran a Mage and an Archer. I miss my archer. think I was well over level 100 when I quit. I remember an addon program that we used to use for keeping up with buffs and other features. Is that still available? so many questions so little time. Hope to hear back
Just wanted to drop a comment saying that this video saved me a ton of aggravation. Did not know about the screws underneath the keyboard and I was tearing my hair out trying to figure it out.
I've been a very happy Macrium Reflect user for years but recently had a the following issue : RESTORING FROM THE BOOT USB RESCUE DISK COULD NOT DETECT THE PRIMARY C: DRIVE MAKING IT USELESS. I turned my laptop upside down trying to resolve this (deleting/recreating partition; reinstall of Windows 11; nothing worked ! The problem was not with Macrium, but with Acer/Intel. There is a driver provided on the Intel site called "RST Raid driver". Issue solved !
How would you describe the server? mostly bots? Few bots? Lots of people running around with all 3 accounts or is that rare? Is it a retail experience? Some custom content? A lot of custom content? I play on the bot free server which I like, but it seems that it has some custom and edited content so I'm putting feelers out for something closer to retail but it's not that fun if everyone is mostly in bot mode. Edit: Never mind, I saw your other video. I'll stick with Levistras because TC seems far too removed from retail. At least on the LS server the custom content is there to compliment retail, not replace it.
What it "Run the purge before backup" checkbox does?
This looks so good!
👍
I also played TD and currently play TC.
That's so incredible! I never would have thought you could find computer parts small enough to go in a case like that. The glittery acrylic backpiece is especially on point.
Funny thing, i had to build the case around the smallest motherboard I could find. At first I was going to use wood and paint the back blue but I had the glitter acrylic and thought it more timey whimey.
@@NerdyForge you made the right call for sure. Can you do anything fun with the little sparkly cutouts?
Nice work bro!
Thank you!
Hi guys i have msi rx 480 gaming x 8 gb 256 bites and at some games crashes with blackscreen my psu in seasonic 620w, wil it be any new bios for that or wat can i do please help!
Cool video :) i was wondering if i could get a download link for this build because on BlueNerd's channel you have to get the membership to gain access to download it, thanks :)
After seeing a video about canvas burning the other day, I started experimenting. You saved me an experiment. I figure a test pattern could be used to understand the range needed to go from black to the deepest color. Just gotta figure out what to do with that.
@Nerdy Forge good, I know the video is old, but I saw that we have "the same model" mine would be a Sapphire radeon rx 480 4gb, I would like to know if you did undervolt and overclock or flash to more vram? If so, could you show or pass some screenshots of how you did it please? since I would like to do it but I don't know much about that subject and I saw that it is a dangerous area if you don't know... I was looking around but it is difficult to find information since it is an old card... sorry if there is any part that is not understood but i'm from argentina and my english is not so good
At the 4:10 mark you say that you would need to involve all the differential backups during a restore operation. I don't think that information is correct. You may be confusing a differential backup with an incremental backup. It is my understanding that if you have to a perform a complete restore, that operation would involve the last full backup plus only the last differential backup (not "all those differentials" since the last full backup). That would be the case only if you were making incremental backups. Thanks for the video.
