Amy, you have a pretty solid game in the shots you DO hit. A few observations though: 1. You could add some variety to your groundstrokes, particularly your backhand. You do hit very good pace and depth, and in fact, this opens up the short game, and if you hit the drop shot, it would hurt your opponents. If you rewatch many of the points where you've hit deep, in particular to your opponents backhand, you often had a mid court ball that could have been hit short. 2. Slice. If you look at Ash Barty's matches, she was a master of the slice; she had the ball on a string, and could put it almost anywhere. One of her greatest weapons, was the backhand slice short cross court. This forced the opponent to either come in from a wide position ( and therefore be open to a pass or lob), or, to retreat back to the baseline, in which case a followup drop shot, or back behind would do more damage. 3. Wide serves to open the court. You hit some very good, flat serves, with great pace. But a wide serve to drag your opponent out of the court then opens up the plus one. I dont think you used this at all, which is a shame, because it can surprise your opponent on key points. 4. General trickery. Shaping up to hit a drop shot, but then sliding the ball up the line. Maybe a short serve now and then when your opponent is on the back fence. And there are so many variations that you can train here, running patterns with a coaching team, that you could really lift the level you bring to court. You already hit solid consistent strokes, so rounding out your game will add to what you can do.

Your ball striking looks so clean! Maybe it is the selection of points you showed us but i missed the "I try to get every ball" mentality. Often you were not even moving and trying to get it. Running every ball down is a good way to improve too. It also shows your opponent that you are there and you will not go away which makes them miss from time to time because they think they have to play closer to the lines. Keep on grinding!

Great vid! Thanks for taking us along the journey - that's a crazy amount of flying. You were smoking a lot of winners and aces by her, and the second serve return aggression seemed to be working. Third set would have been a good one - way to fight through being sick, showed a lot of heart! Instead of coffee looks mebbe we should buy you some liquid IV for the road!
