Does anybody know why Doom's eye color is blue and brown?

I've been seeing this set pop up everywhere for like $150. Even on like Mercari. On ebay if you search sold, one recently sold for $130... Far cry from it's $499 price at launch. Has it been bootlegged or something? Did a major retailer do a crazy close out sale on it? Why is the market all the sudden flooded with these? Haha.

Thank-you for a great review, well done! I agree that this Mafex Jean Grey/Phoenix looks amazing for so many reasons. I also love the character's story and I'm glad she's been given her own comic book too. The head with the white eyes is also my favorite look. The figure has great details, awesome costume, a very respectful comic book character and healthy woman's body form, great all over color scheme, and great articulation. I'm very impressed, just as much as I am with the recent Jean Grey X-Men 97' figure from the cartoon. GREAT idea to order those flame effects that you showcased with this Phoenix figure, they look amazing! I've seen the Marvel Legends Phoenix and the only fun part of the whole release will be the Phoenix Force/Bird accessory. The Phoenix bird is well made and is very detailed. The figure though looks really cheap to me. The body form looks overly sexualized, color scheme looks off, the face paints look creepy and has too much make-up(which adds to the creepiness of the oversexualized body). One head looks like the demonic Phoenix from the X-Men 3 film. ML doesn't even compare to the grandeur of the Mafex Phoenix/Jean Grey.

So the reissue doesn't change much compare to the first issue with OEM update face sculpt.

I tried installing the flame and it's quite tight. Just apply force and it won't damage the paint

Like you, I am a die-hard FF fan. I bought this set on installment, because the price..I can't afford Doom yet. Maybe someday when I finish paying this of. Hopefully, I can still find him at a fair price. This set, however, is a mixed bag. Ben is my favorite character ever, and I have been excited for him the most. However, I was a little bit underwhelmed. For the price of the set I expected better Johnny and Sue are OK, but have their issues. Not getting a fully flamed-on Torch and some invisible limbs for Sue found me wanting. Surprisingly, the characters I considered boring actually got the most love in this set. Reed has the best attachments appropriate for his character. H. E. R. B. I. E. stole the show. I fell in love ❤ with the way the robot was made. A flying A. I. Lab. You can say that the last two figs actually made the set for me. Otherwise, y would have been disappointed for the price I paid for it.

Good review man, mine just came in today and it’s pretty sweet. The white really pops with the black suit. Maybe try putting some lubricant (wd40?) to get the other head on? Mine luckily pops on with no problem. It does require some force but I’ve had worse.

Great review. Mine is still in the box. One thing to note is that the exclusive version was the same price as the standard one. So the extra head was at no additional cost. I plan on using the regular head myself.

The base is great, love the magnets used for the feet and the jacket button cos otherwise we would either see a giant snap button or velcro, do muff toys chose well.

It was a pain in the ass to put the head sculpt in for me, but after a few times doing it, it got easier. Sucks that urs broke tho

I love how all the figures are turning out. The Dick Tracy film was great, but I like this style better. They do such a great job taking old comic strip properties and making them look awesome, with unique styles. The Stormy Seas set is one of my favorites too. I really hope they keep up with this line. The popularity seems to be there from what I can see,

I’m missing the inner ring in one of my Flattop heads so it doesn’t connect to the body. Disappointed as it’s the face I most want to display.

I got my BBTS notification. I was thinking of letting it go for now and picking it up later, then I decided against that. Glad I did, didn't know they were sold out already.

I have issues trying to push the alternate head into the ball joint. Even after heating up the head socket it quickly slips off and sits on top of the ball, especially if I try to rotate the head in a pose. I don’t know if it’s related to the same issue, but I have no problem removing the original head so maybe not. Awesome looking figure though
