This video is great. I was there the second week of June 95 for a high school graduation trip and remember this.
Omg i so do miss the 80s.
Mel seems coked up or amped up on something
We loved Leon McQuay up here with the Toronto Argonauts. I remember him very well.
Man I'v been waiting 34 years to find tune starting at 8:50 for George's NFL highlight rundown. Such awesome memories from teenage years!
A rare episode where Paul Shafer is the announcer instead of Bill Wendall
Mr. Wil Lee sportin the 88 MANPERM!
Mel Gibson, Danny Sullivan, and Bobby McFerrin
This was great late night weekend viewing. As a kid I thought this was the coolest show.
No #4 on the Top 10.
1988 Princess Di marriage problems-I didnt know it went back that far. And Rupert Murdoch bought TV Guide?! Never heard of that.
12:22 Im dyin 😅 gday to all Letterman fans
They played a really tough schedule
I take it Clemson wasn't a national power in those days 😂😂
Dad and I used to meet the basketball team at the Coliseum after road trips, after one such trip, Derrick was walking back towards the dorms where the football team stayed when dad offered to drive him there. I sat in the back of our small Toyota and when Derrick got in it was like a wall was blocking my view he was such a specimen of an athlete. A gentle giant off the field.
Remember this! Was stationed at Misawa from 1987 to 1990
Where can I find the set by Emily Levine? 32:53
Looks back at the opening of the show with the camera going into the WTC has to make Letterman cringe now it does for me
Interesting that Rice could move the ball on ND
Tory Epps was a beast. Vandy’s DL James Manley said that he was the NT he ever faced. Charlie Bailey was a good save after the horrible Dempsey years. That guy was crazy!
PS and band are fantastic
Wil Lee is 2nd greatest bass player in the world!
He looks but doesnt sound like a bloke from Peekskill.
Dave skipped one of the entries in the Top Ten List, about the California Raisins. With the topic being signs people are getting dumber, I was hoping he'd come back and point that out as one more sign! I could not understand Mel's second magic trick. Making his leg disappear? Seems like Mel lost his Australian accent within a few years after this? The "afterschool special" skit about Australia was hilarious! Very Simpsons-esque, the way they'd sometimes do a mock parody of a "very special" TV episode.
Bobby McFerrin and the band killed that acapella performance
I wanted to hear more about Mel's retaliation against his twin brothers..

We were living off base when that happened. Talk about scary.
The Power K.
Jeff Bailey Are you posting old recordings you have?
There NCAA champions in my book GO CATS
Dennis Fryzel had to be the biggest jerk in the world! He certainly had a lot to do with the excuse to deep six the program along B.D, Owens. Also known as VD Owens. How sad!
Never under estimate the heart of a champion.
13:02 Things never change
Mel seemed nervous and a little thrown my Dave's jokes. Film stars today have to do so many press junket interviews that they tend to be much more polished and ready for anything interviewers might throw at them. Dave could he tough to handle in that era, though, because his style was so different from what anyone else was doing at the time. But we have now all adapted to that style. What was very unconventional then has become the norm.
I was there with the UK Marching Band. We went crazy. The kicker chasing Art Still is kind of funny.
Go Ricky Kight!! You were great!
Leon McQuay, man was he good. Could move laterally as fast as he could forward. One hell of an athlete. Paul Orndorff of wrestling fame was a fullback in the backfield with Leon. McQuay went to the CFL with the Argos and was outstanding, just electric.
Auburn not a good passing quarterback in 84 and 85 killed them.
Dave seemed annoyed by Bobby McFarrin. He was being a little weird
What’s a satnet test? 0:31
My guess is that it didn't appear on the screen for most people watching this episode, but just on the screen of whoever was taping this. Maybe something to do with the satellite service they were using. DirecTV? Just speculation. I am not interested enough to bother to properly research it.
love my morty

Tequila Sunrise don't think I saw that one?
I get it mixed up with Mosquito Coast with Harrison Ford.
@@jedijones another good movie
Was Nick Saban there back then?
Was a man named Charlie Bailey the DC at UK then? They mauled peoplé!
great show from beginning to end.
Sylvanus Freelove Bowser (August 8, 1854 - October 3, 1938) was an American inventor who is widely credited with inventing the automobile fuel pump. Bowser Avenue in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana is named after him. -- Wikipedia Dave should have known that since he also is from Indiana.
Thank you for mercifully showing only the first quarter. 😕
