When you cannot afford black mesa so you change up the sounds
feels right but also wrong
Why does some of the character dialogue still sound bitcrushed?
Because lines like c0a0 or something similar are a bit bugged. I will try to fix that in the future but for now the only way I have is to compress the sounds to 11025 Hz so they will work.
@@shadowclick2754 Are you using Half-Life: Source Fixed? That might solve the issue, but I'm not entirely sure.
@@pman56789 Yes I'm playing HL:S Fixed when recording. But it doesn't solve the issue.

Looks very cool. I'm glad you kept the original soundtrack in this mod.
There is BM OST but the mod is unfinished. I will try to replace every HL1 sound with BM. You can just delete the music folder form the sounds folder and you will have the default HL1 OST.
@@shadowclick2754Understandable I guess. Thanks for making this mod, I always disliked the fact that HLS mostly used old HL1 SFX, so this mod is quite helpful.

nice but the originals...
My main criticism would be that the audio quality is inconsistent. Some audio is compressed while others are normal (some characters even use both compressed and uncompressed audio). If compressing the audio is really to anyone's preference, I think there should be a compressed and normal variant of the mod. Additionally, some audio, from my own tests of the pack, seems to be incorrect. The npcs even occasionally say completely different voice lines, like one of the scientists just outside the test chamber talking to Gordon, and another section when the Resonance Cascade takes place. In these instances, they sometimes don't make much sense, given the context.

play the real black mesa legacy version it doesn't even require that much to play it's really dated but it works

slightly disappointing that you went with the V0.9 voice clips for G-Man rather than the, significantly better, 1.0 release version of the voice. other than that, i love it!
