2 Stock JL's drive Dickey Bell at Uwharrie National Forest
Просмотров 26 тыс.5 лет назад
We take on the 2 difficult trails at Uwharrie National Forest after multiple days of rain. First we tackle Wolf's Den and Falls Dam on our way to the entrance of the Jeep Badge Of Honor Trail Dickey Bell #91. We finish the day trip off with Dutch John. Be sure to follow Bjorn on Instagram @bjornimperfekthuman and keep up with us at @bootsandtires!
This is awesome! I haven't tried Dickey Bell yet (it's been closed this season so far) but I have done most of the other easy/moderate trails in my stock '24 JLUR 6MT. It's a lot of fun.
Quit bumping your winch so fast!!!!
What front and back bumper is that on the 2 door? Thanks!
Uwharrie in the rain can be a challenge for sure .
Great video, thank you for recording in the rain. We are heading there in a couple days
amazing how water can puddle on an incline like that. Quit turning the camera crooked, you're not fooling anyone.
Great Video. I have a stock 2021 Rubicon with an added steel bumper and winch. Any damage to your vehicles doing this trail. Looks like they handled it well. Thanks for posting this.
Robert, I was in the white Jeep... There was only light "damage" and all within realistic expectations while wheeling. My steps took the brunt of most of it (not my first choice for steps, but I have younguns) while the Rubicon stock skid plates saw the rest. Again, all tolerable.
I did this in a stock 89 Ram50 😉
Ok
I wouldn't say a Rubicon is a stock anything
Agreed. I always wonder why folks call them stock rubicons. They are highly modified Sahara’s. That’s why we bought the rubicon instead of the Sahara.
Can you order or buy it off the lot from any Jeep dealer? Well then…
Are you all from North Carolina? I am heading that way Next weekend, I want to run trail #91 while I am there.
What was your ground clearance, what size tires, and did you have lockers? Nice video, I have a ram 1500 short wheel base on 33" 12" clearance have been thinking about running the trail.
I'm in the white JLUR. I've never actually measured the clearance 🤔. Tires are 33s. Yes, the Rubicons come with lockers. 1500? Your wheel base will be challenging on quite a few of the trails. I was scraping belly quite a bit with the 4-door whereas Sean's 2-door was just fine. I'd check out Ben and Cassie wheeling their gladiator in Uwharrie to get a better idea for your 1500 (YT: JK Gear and Gadgets)
@@bjornholmquist5019 JLUR stock is 10.8" clearance on 33's.
20:40 Its to bad they filled in that hole.
What front bumper is that on the 2 door? Thanks!
Did you reduce your tire pressure?
Yep! I think we were both at 20 psi.
Pretty impressive for stock Jeeps. Y'all made that hill look easy.
Nice! A stock Rubicon will surprise a lot of people just how capable they are.
Awesome content. 👍Do you have footage from the beginner trail?
Great footage. Great video!
Nice video. Question... Is the Mojito 2 door a 2.0 turbo?
Sounds like it...
Yes it is, it also had a magnaflow rear muffler delete
excellent. I am very excited to try my JLU rubicon there.
I love the video good to know the challenges about this trail. Great job
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Have you been to Windrock? We did trails 16 and 51(Badge of Honor Trails) in our Stock JLU Rubicon. I have the videos on my page.
Not yet, will check that out. Thanks!
BootsandTires we ride in northeast GA all the time and live near Clemson, SC. Would love to ride with y’all sometime. Ours looks like the white one!
@@bootsandtires6923 Windrock makes Uhwarrie feel like a parking lot! They have 300 miles of trails.
Great video! We live in NC, but have not been to Uwharrie yet (just got the JLU a short time ago). Your video made me more confident that a stock suspension Jeep can handle much of the terrain there. Thank you!
Awesome! If you go when its dry you'll have a blast and can do pretty much everything!
09:58 I wonder in someone died at this spot? The cross on the tree is why I'm wondering.
Be more careful of the tree that you use to anchor your winch line on. That thing was pretty old and decrepit and could have come down on your Jeep. Great wheeling though. I got my badge on Dickey Bell a couple months ago.
Great vid! Best day of wheeling yet! Can't wait to wheel with y'all again! Come up to VA!
