Most businesses compete on price to get customers.

@Joehirst that is incorrect. Cost of living increases every year and prices always go up. Even in businesses that are seeing a sales slump. They keep their prices roughly inline with their competitors. I can give two examples of this, Target and Walmart, and the entire fast food market. The prices at Walmart and Target are fairly similar on various items of similar quality. They also have a similar if not identical pay structure for workers classifications including caps on wages and hours. They largely get deliveries the same way. It used to be Target had better stuff for slightly more. Now Walmart just upped their prices and Target dropped quality to compete. They are now both the same entity which is bad for the worker and consumer as they are not competing for either with their competitors other than by location. The location now becomes more important, which again is bad for the consumer and worker as they tend to be primary employers in rural communities. Next fast food, fast food rarely gets cheaper in fact it just gets more expensive as you get smaller portions. Other than a few outliers in the short order fast food subsection, fast food provides the same wages and hours to employees across the board. As in all mature markets, they adjust prices to maximize profits in any given market to prices match their competitors as that is the price the consumer is willing to pay for the amount of product they receive. As this is philosophy is applied to all aspects of business it causes a ripple effect across industries which increase inflation without increasing compensation. It is a downward spiral of self-destruction. When starting a new business you don't want to compete on price because they can afford to keep prices low till you go out of business then they increase prices. Which is why so few businesses provide so many services and got to be the size they are. The big guys already do it and should be in trouble for doing so. Here is a bonus freebie, I worked for an AMPM franchise. If he saw other gas stations, not just AMPMs, increased prices on his drive to work he matched the prices. He has a franchise of these and has opened two additional stores and has the shopping centers named after them. Seems price fixing commodities is fairly lucrative.

This is a fair observation, but not relative to my point. My point, which sadly Is very difficult to fully articulate in less than one minute, is that; once you've differentiated your business, you don't need to compete on price when you build a strong brand. Moreso for more specialty brands and not commodities.

By trying to market it as “cool” with a name like liquid death, and the can looking like it does, it really seems like it’s marketed to people named Kyle.

@@Joehirst it not a costume. Its animation. The thing about Swoop I always wanted to was to make a version of him like he was out of The Secret of Nimh [it's 40 yrs old and its good]. He doesn't wear football clothes he would like a old fashioned pilot/aviator with long pants and boots with his spikes coming showing.

@@ibrahimal-dossrai6512 Personally, If you're in a position where you can offer services and skills to locals, you could start there. When I first started freelancing I used a website called Craigslist and took on as many projects as I could to get the experiance. If you have access to a localized or national service website like that, then definitely start there. Don't compete with people on fiver - avoid fiver, dont get sucked into that hole. With connection to the internet and tge ability to spend a little time and/or money creating a website to describe who you are and showcase what you do, you can do it, friend! Definitely also check out Reddit and browse the learn design section.
