    I had learn that simplified line drawn model in first year uni, and was left super confused - looking at the much better 3D model, I honestly find it little help!

    thank you! I had a really hard time figuring out the coordination numbers of the different crystal structures. Seeing it just as the number of atoms an atom in a crystal touches makes it so simple!
