Personally I wouldn't worry about the cosmetics. It's a tool designed to take the abuse of the surf, scratches and scuffs are a part of the game when you hop rocks or swim structure. Just be mindful of any abrasions on your spool lip that could chafe your line. A nice feature of the original VS and VSX ( penn 704 etc.) is the skirted rotor which shields the spool somewhat.
Thanks. I don't wetsuit, but I do prefer lighter than heavier. I'll fish before work and will keep gear to a minimum.

Aweee Karen didn’t like the audio quality. It wasn’t on the same level as the anime porn he spends a frightening amount of time watching. If you have any tissues left that you couldn’t shatter like a dinner plate, you should blot those tears from your sensitive face. Wahhhh. 😂

The tourniquet is a great addition. Not only for yourself, but you never know what situation might happen as you’re away from your vehicle.

I like your not connection ,I'll have to try that . Sluggos are one of my favorite lures . Unweighted is the way to go in shallow water .
I prefer 80lb Dacron. It’s the same that I use for rigging eels. I find the heavier Dacron ties down better than lighter
