Woah! You paid for a kit and haven’t heard anything from them??😮. Noticed website is down now. I switched to just getting used bmw m2 instead of dealing with the list of disappointments from gr86. Toyota should have just made it turbo or 3.0 flat 6 300hp like previous 2.0 200hp.
Why is it taking forever to boost / tune these cars? I get that it’s a newer car but what’s the big deal? 🤔

Get ECUTEK you can do way more
So 270whp seems totally doable on stock internals with relatively long-term reliability. Nice. I think that would be ideal for this chassis.

were you guys were able to fix the ecutek load limit? I'm interested in the turbo kit but I have to wait untill the tuning problems are sorted out and see the correct numbers. Thank you for the amazing work! :)

Depends on the kit. Non intercooled kit should be able to be installed in around 4 hours. Intercooled kit would be more like 6-8 hours.

That turbo might a bit big 50-54mm should be the ideal size unless you're planning to getting a billet block for 400whp+
You definitely don’t need a billet block for that power level.
These Subaru FA engines are absolutely strong their block is even stronger than Honda k series so there's no problem. But that rtv issue sucks.
I’m curious as to why offer/test a non intercooled set up? Even boosted economy cars and grocery getter CUVs all have some sort of a charge air cooler nowadays, so why would anyone want to do without one in a performance car application?
Because you can make around 300 at the wheels while keeping the cost down. You can then add on the rest of the intercooled portion of the kit later, along with the fuel system and other supporting mods required. Very few supporting mods are required for the non-intercooled kit.

Why do you need to test non intercooler set up?
To verify how far it can be pushed, where the iat’s go, etc.

We're in Canada. We tend to do that. :)
