In today's video, I will be showing you how to make Qatayef from scratch! Qatayef is a Middle Eastern dessert commonly served in the month of Ramadan. It is similar to a cheese stuffed pancake however, you can fill it with so many different fillings according to your taste! My favourite filling for it is cheese, which is what I will be showing you today.
Ingredients 🗒
For the dough: (Sift all dry ingredients) Makes 19 pieces.
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup fine semolina
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Wet:
- 3 cups warm water
For the sugar syrup (atar) :
- 2 cups sugar

Is it for cake alone
It can be used for anything you want! Just bear in mind when using certain brands of resin as some can be toxic and not food safe! In this case, I used a non toxic resin brand.

Hello! I used approx 8-10 oz of resin for all 3 tiers! Hope that helps

Wa alaikum salam! It all depends on the type of brand you use! For Art Resin (the brand I used) the ratio is 1:1, hope that helps!

Hello! For the sand paper I used a coarse grit, I've had it for a long time so I don't really remember the number, apologies! As for the custom sticker, I used my cricut machine which allows me to cut personalised names! Thank you 💕

Hi! How do you know how much to measure for your project like the cake stand or coasters example? Thank you in advance
Hello! For this particular resin brand (art resin) you can use their resin calculator on their website and it will approximately give you the amount of resin to use! I just do it by eye, and add more as I go if I need to! Here's the link to the resin calculator: www.artresin.com/pages/calculator Hope that helps!

Is it completely safe to put food on this?
The resin I use is non toxic so I am comfortable with putting food on it. If however, you're not sure, I suggest you contact the resin brand directly and they will suggest whats best xx
